A mother and daughter operation, Mom and Tina's has grown into a successful business, now with two locations in the metro, offering a full menu from cakes and pastries, baked specialties, desserts, main dishes and beverages. And the success story continues, with new offerings and a continuously expanding menu.

The Beef Empanadas are savory and full of flavor, stuffed with ground beef, diced potatoes, raisins and green peas. The Tuna Empanadas are equally flavorful, with finely diced carrots, potatoes and green peas.

Simply pop it in an oven toaster to crisp it a bit and a buttery aroma slowly fills the kitchen.

It's a perfect match with a good cup of coffee. These little savory treats may be small, but are quite filling.
The Chicken Empanadas are the more popular items, and the first to go, but these Beef and Tuna Empanandas are pretty good.
Empanadas can trace its origins in Spain and Portugal, and introduced to Latin America and the Philippines by Spanish colonizers. To this day, it remains a popular dish, with several local regional variations. Perfect treat any time of day, nice to keep a couple of empanadas in the fridge just in case.

DeleteI love meat pies and the tuna ones do sound creative as well as tasty. Sigh..it has been a long time since I opened the fridge to see anything so delicious. How I would love to pop in to that bakery and sample all the goodies! These empanadas look like an excellent choice.

DeleteI LOVE empanadas. I tried them on holiday in Spain and I want to try and make them some time! These sound perfect, especially because little effort is required. It's nice making your own food but even nicer when it's all done for you :P
