Back for More at Urameshi-Ya

Back at Little Tokyo. Back at Urameshi-Ya. Back for more Kobe beef and other grilled meats...great to be back.

Your table top grill is all set and ready to go...

Start off with a fresh tomato salad, with sesame seed and onion dipping sauces...
The Kobe Beef plate...rich and buttery, real melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Great with a cold Kirin...
And the fun begins...
Nothing like grilling your own meat at your table, and enjoying it fresh off the grill.
Why do I keep coming back? I read a very interesting post earlier from All That I'm Eating (check out the said post here at http://allthatimeating.blogspot.com/2011/11/restaurants-how-many-visits-does-it.html) about exactly how many visits or chances to give a food establishment, and how both the food and service make for a great total experience. Consistent quality and great service, and that's why it's great to be back at Urameshi-Ya. Gotta take my hypertension meds...

You may also want to check the Dude's previous post on Urameshi-Ya here: http://dude4food.blogspot.com/2011/07/urameshi-ya-experience.html.

Urameshi-Ya is located inside Little Tokyo at Pasong Tamo, Makati. Just look for the pots of hot charcoal...

  1. how cool is that, grilling your own meat in a restaurant, at your table! remind me o a restaurant which I had enjoyed in switzerland. They served Meat Fondue there and it was right at the geneva lake. one could see vichy on the other side.

    Whats Kiri,it soudns familiar, though.
They add the sesame seeds plain to the tomatoe salad?

    thanks for the links!

  2. Hello Helene, yup, grilling the meat right on the table is pretty cool. And I can imagine how beautiful it is at that fondue place beside the lake. Kirin is a Japanese beer, goes great with the grilled meat (actually, any beer would be great). As for the Tomato salad, they have two dipping sauces, one made from sesame seeds and the other onion-based. Great to hear from you, Helene!

  4. Hi Kim Bee, table-top grilling is a lot of fun, the only drawback is you get to smell like barbecue but I guess that's part of the fun! Thanks for dropping by, Kim Bee!
