A Superior Congee Breakfast at North Park

I've always associated congee as something one takes when recovering from a fever, and I used to abhor the bland, tasteless and really boring stuff. And then there is the Superior Congee which just erases all your childhood memories of the usual rice porridge.

North Park's Superior Congee (P 176), loaded with tender shredded beef, fresh scallions, meatballs, slices of century egg, chunks of fish, and shrimps. The congee is scalding hot, and underneath all the toppings is a raw egg slowly being cooked.

Add some crisp wonton chips for a little crunch, some chili oil, and you're all set.

Filling and comforting, it's an awesome way to start the day.

Mix it up and enjoy...

...add some more crisp wonton chips, and more chili oil for some cooling heat. The subtle flavors of all the toppings blend beautifully in this truly "Superior" Congee. Have a great day everyone!

North Park Noodle House is located at 329 P. Guevarra, Little Baguio, San Juan or call 721-2759 for inquiries or info on their other branch locations.
