Good Times at Gerry's Grill

I've always had fond memories at Gerry's Grill, good times with friends and a few beers and some amazing local comfort food. Good times.

Since the opening of the first branch in 1997, food entrepreneur Gerry Apolinario envisioned a place where one can enjoy the best grilled local favorites and a few drinks with friends and family. Forty-Seven branches later, that same vision continues to drive the brand, extending its local flavor overseas with two branches in the US and two branches in Singapore, and another on the way in Doha, Qatar. Quite an inspiring success story.

Chilled fresh buko juice (P 75), refreshing and all-natural, a great way to start any meal.

Sinigang na Hipon (P 255), sour tamarind based soup with fresh shrimps and vegetables.

Tinomok (P 175), taro leaves stuffed with ground meat and cooked in coconut milk with chilies. Similar to Bicol's famous Laing, the stuffed leaves add a unique twist to an old favorite. Nicely balanced, the rich coconut cream and heat from the chilies complete the dish.

Inihaw na Pusit (Grilled Squid, P 328), the one that started it all and made Gerry's Grill the place for grilled dishes. Soft and tender, cooked just right, with a sweet sauce, an all-time favorite.

Crispy Pata (Deep Fried Pork Knuckles, P 445), the other dish that built the Gerry's Grill name, a real classic. Crisp, juicy and full of flavor, this trademark dish goes best with a few beers, or a few orders of garlic rice.

This all-time favorite deserves a second look...

Leche Flan (P 48.00), something sweet and creamy to cap a great local meal.

Mais con Hielo (P 95), a refreshing treat with cream of corn, milk, and sugar topped with shaved ice and sweet corn flavored ice cream. The sweet corn flavored ice cream really adds the finishing touches to this cool dessert. Sweet and refreshing, it's a perfect treat to beat the summer heat.

And this refreshing treat deserves a second look too...

Years after the opening of the first branch, Gerry's Grill continues to build a loyal customer base with good food and value in a competitive market. Good times. definitely.

Gerry's Grill is located at Bluewave  Commercial Complex, Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City or call 832-9256 for inquiries on other branch locations. You can also visit their website at www.gerrysgrill.com.

  6. Hi dude! Gerry's Grill Crispy Pata and Sisig are on the list of my favorites. Just like you I have fond memories of Gerry's Grill because I think that is where I first treat my family when I got my first job after graduation. Gerry's Grill is the usual place my friends and I meet up whenever we are at Greenhills area and everyone is up for some drinking session. And it was at Gerry's Grill where I drank 12 bottles of beer after a bad break up, considering I have an alcohol tolerance of a baby, but that's another story. So I think I love Gerry's Grill not just for their food but for the happy and funny memories it reminded me of :)

  12. Thanks for all the great photos. I especially appreciate your description of the stuffed taro leaves. Don't hear about them too often. I have recipes for stuff taro leaves in my cookbook. I'm looking for a good, reliable, fast source for the leaves. Here in CO we don't often have access to some of the more exotic leaves. I'm hungry now! karen Albright Lin
