Food News: Manang's Chicken Opens in Visayas Avenue

And the amazing story of Manang's Chicken continues, as it opens its ninth branch in the metro. Located at Wilcon City Center along Visayas Avenue, the new location is part of an expansion program providing more access to its trademark dishes.

Formally opened last June 5,  the branch is now fully operational, ready to serve a hungry public.

Jill Gerodias-Borja, CEO (L) and Jenilee Gerodias-Slagle, COO (R) with the friendly staff welcoming guests to their new branch.

After the blessing and ribbon cutting, Manang's Chicken's signature dishes were served in a free-flowing buffet.

And the food? Classic Manang's Chicken.

Sesame Beef served with vegetables.

The trademark chicken in original sauce, featuring the old family recipe of soy garlic chicken lovingly prepared by Manang, the long-time family cook, and now a popular favorite.

Garlic Pork Liempo served with vinegar dipping sauce.

Crispy Pancit, or fried noodles.

Coleslaw and other side dishes, perfect with the soy garlic chicken.

It's quite an inspiring story, and as Manang's Chicken continues to expand, I'm pretty sure their loyal family cook, Manang, now retired, would be proud.

Manang's Chicken is located at Wilcon Center, Visayas Avenue, Quezon City. You can also check out Manang's Chicken's website at www.manang's chicken.com for details on other branch locations.
