Food News: McCormick Launches New Bread Spread Line

Great flavors in a convenient tube. Very cool. McCormick formally introduces a new product line in an event dubbed "Goodbye Bland, Hello Flavorful" last July 24 at Top Shelf. The innovative squeezable tube packaging is handy, providing flavors in a flash, without the mess. Great idea.

The new line is a cool new concept in enhancing the flavors of any dish or snack, by simply squeezing a tube. McCormick Bread Spreads are available in the following flavors:

Garlic...

...Herb Parmesan...

...and Pesto.

We sampled the new products on different types of bread, including crackers, and the pairings worked perfectly. The sharp Herb Parmesan, the subtle Pesto and creamy Garlic spreads were great as is, and also works well as a dip with chips and nachos. And it doesn't end there. McCormick Bread Spreads can add a flavorful punch in a variety of dishes from salads, pastas and main dishes. McCormick Bread Spreads allow you to be adventurous in the kitchen, with a little extra flavor to enhance any recipe.

To demonstrate the new product line's versatility, McComick invited celebrity Chef Stephanie Zubiri to prepare three recipes made a little more flavorful with McCormick Bread Spread.

Host Patricia Hizon with Stephanie Zubiri preparing one of three dishes enhanced with McCormick Bread Spread...

...and slowly, the aroma surrounds you as I grab another piece of bread and squeeze some Herb Parmesan, and then Pesto, and why not, another round with the Garlic Bread Spread.

Stephanie Zubiri trained at Le Cordon Bleu Paris in Culinary and Oenological Arts and later set up the Modern Epicurean Kitchen which initially started with offering classes and later expanded to catering and consulting services.

Chef Stephanie Zubiri also runs Atelier 317, offering intimate dinners to a limited number, and reservations are required. And for the McCormick Bread Spread launch, Stephanie prepared three special dishes:

Grilled Stuffed Chicken Breast with Roasted Veggies Millefeuille...

...Garlic Herb Lemon Zest Carbonara...

...and a salad with Pesto Orange Balsamic Dressing.

Snacks were also served at the event, capping a perfect afternoon.

Chips with fresh salsa, tasted good with the Herb Parmesan Bread Spread too.

Mini Beef Tacos, which paired well with the Garlic Bread Spread.

Now you can put an end to bland, and squeeze in more flavor with McCormick Bread Spread. Consistent with McCormick's mission of bringing passion to flavor, the new product line is a real winner. Now I'm thinking burgers with Herb Parmesan...maybe spicy buffalo wings with Garlic...or maybe chips with Pesto...
