Food News: Wine Depot Launches High Tea Wednesdays with La Maison Du The

Ready for High Tea? But ditch the fancy hats. No silver trays or porcelain cups too. It's a cool and casual afternoon tea at Wine Depot Cafe's High Tea Wednesdays with La Maison Du The.

Known for its signature Vittorio coffee, made from 100% Arabica beans, Wine Depot Cafe adds another signature blend to its repertoire of premium brews with La Maison Du The. And at Wine Depot Cafe's High Tea Wednesdays, you can enjoy the luxurious tea blends from La Maison Du The with an assortment of meat and seafood rolls, fresh fruit tarts, homemade cakes and comforting pies.

La Maison Du The is a premium handcrafted French Tea blended and packed by one of the oldest tea blenders in Paris. La Maison Du The is available in the following classic flavors: Green Tea from China, English Breakfast, Darjeeling from India, Earl Grey, Chamomile, Lemon and Ginger, and Peppermint, each refreshingly different and unique.

The delicately handcrafted teas are hand torn, and their original loose leaf form allows for the optimum infusion of flavors in every cup. Brewed in a pot, or in individual bags (not just any tea bag, but a silk mesh bag), tea connoisseurs will surely enjoy the richness of La Maison Du The teas.

Wine Depot Cafe hosted an afternoon tea for the launch of High Tea Wednesdays, showcasing the full range of teas from La Maison Du The. Wave 89.1's Jada and Wine Depot's Monette Atilano, Marketing & Comunications Manager, welcomed the press and bloggers, as Wine Depot's Michelle prepares some cool tea-based drinks, including spiked blends. Nice.

We were also served an assortment of savory treats to be paired with tea, including grilled chicken skewers and prosciutto with olives and pepper, beef and chicken rolls and smoked salmon on crostini.

The light snacks offered a variety of flavors that go well with La Maison Du The's different tea flavors and variety of light snacks combine for one real cool afternoon tea. Needless to say, I'm really liking this high tea ritual...

I go for La Maison Du The's Darjeeling tea. The rich, bold flavors of Darjeeling has a subtle fruity hint for a layer of sweetness that pairs well with the savory snacks, and the sweet desserts soon to follow.

Along with the teas, we also sampled some of Wine Depot Cafe's desserts prepared specially for High Tea Wednesdays, presented on a cool wooden board.

You too can enjoy High Tea Wednesdays at Wine Depot Cafe, available every Wednesday from 3pm to 5pm, and experience an emerging tea culture. For only P 500, you can have a hot pot of La Maison Du The (choose among seven flavors), and a selection of savory and sweet treats including sausage rolls, salmon rolls, chicken pastys, cheesecake, Lamington, and fruit tarts. Reasonably priced and even more affordable than other similar offerings, Wine Depot Cafe's High Tea Wednesdays is a pretty cool deal. And with La Maison Du The's elegant and premium blends, it's a very good deal.

You can also have some of Wine Depot's signature desserts, including assorted cheesecakes and pastries. Just head down Wine Depot Cafe's chiller to see what's available.

Or why not go for an alcohol-infused tea, made with La Maison Du The's English Breakfast tea with triple-sec and grenadine. Wine Depot Cafe's High Tea Wednesdays offers more than just tea, but coffee, iced tea concoctions and even alcoholic tea and coffee infusions, a cool and refreshing twist to the traditional afternoon high tea. La Maison Du The is available in all Wine Depot branches: Nicanor Garcia/Bel-Air, Missouri/Northeast Greenhills and Westgate Corporate Center/Alabang. You may also enjoy La Maison Du The in the following partner establishments: Chateau 1771, Cafe 1771, Corner Tree Cafe, Epic Cafe (Kapitolyo) and Lemon Cafe (Boracay).

  1. Dude I'd be so happy if I had these teas in my office. I can't go a day of work without tea. I enjoy the hot sipping sensation of it to cool me down, esp in this blistering cold winter more than coffee. Happy days. Hope you're well Gerry! It's been a while =)
