The Grove Food Crawl: The Flavors of India at Om Indian Kichen

The rich blend of spices make it one of the culinary world's most distinct cuisines, with a rich heritage of vibrant flavors. Now you can experience authentic Indian cuisine...

...at Om Indian Kitchen. Each dish is prepared from cherished family recipes using the finest ingredients and spices imported from India for authentic flavors. Roti, samosas, butter chicken, seekh kebabs and more, each prepared in the traditional way, takes you on a flavorful culinary journey of the exotic east right here at The Grove by Rockwell.

Located at The Grove by Rockwell,  Om Indian Kitchen is one of the few dining establishments offering real, homestyle Indian cuisine in the metro. I first got a taste of their distinct cuisine at their original location (more on my previous post, Incredible India and More at Om Lifestyle + Cafe), and I'm glad to see them at The Grove.

Authentic Indian flavors can be hard to find in the metro, but diners can now add Om Indian Kitchen to their list of real Indian restaurants. Start your authentic Indian feast with a serving of Roti (P 40/2 pcs per order), unleavened traditional Indian flatbread freshly made from whole wheat flour...

...and Om Indian Kitchen's Samosa, available in Vegetarian (P 40-Solo/P 115 Plate of 3) and Non-Vegetarian with pork keema (P 45-Solo/P 145-Plate of 3), crisp and savory pastries and tasty starters before the mains.

Diners can choose from a wide range of savory main dishes, but the Butter Chicken (P 285), Om Indian Kitchen's popular bestseller with tender chicken in a mildly sweet tomato and cashew-based and mildly-spiced curry sauce, is an absolute must-try. The delicate notes of the chicken are kicked up a notch by the bold and intense flavors of the rich sauce made from a blend of Indian spices. The spice blend delivers vibrant notes, not from the heat as the dish has a very mild whisper of peppery hints, but from the layers of different spices. As with most Indian dishes, each main course is built with several layers of distinct flavors from the rich spice blend. Great as is, even better when paired with soft and fluffy long-grained rice draped with the thick sauce of the Butter Chicken or the soft Roti.

Add some Indian-style kebabs to your feast with the Seekh Kebab (P 220), savory pork keema grilled into juicy kebabs and served with mint-yogurt chutney, and you have a real Indian experience. The smoky notes of the juicy pork kebabs pair well with the mint-yogurt chutney to temper the richness.

Cap your feast of authentic Indian flavors with Om Indian Kitchen's Gulab Jamun ala Mode (P 60), with homemade Indian ice cream flavored with saffron, cardamom, and pistachio topped with sweet fried dough balls served with saffron syrup...

...perfect when paired with Masala Chai (P 65), a soothing milk-based black tea blended with cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and a hint of pepper. Real, homestyle, and genuine Indian flavors, definitely one of the metro's best Indian restaurants. And now, you can find the flavors of India at The Grove by Rockwell...at Om Indian Kitchen.

Om Indian Kitchen is located at The Grove Retail Row, The Grove by Rockwell, E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Ugong, Pasig City or call 622-0064 for inquiries and more information.
