Time For Pancakes with the Original Buttermilk Pancake Mix from Rustic Mornings by Isabelo.

It's a Saturday morning, time for some pancakes...

Family gatherings become even more special as the holidays near, and there's no better way to start the day right with a sumptuous breakfast at home. A hearty breakfast with soft, thick and fluffy buttermilk pancakes drizzled with pancake syrup paired with a freshly brewed cup of coffee sets the tone for the rest of the day. And you can prepare it all at home with the Rustic Mornings Christmas Breakfast Basket from Rustic Mornings by Isabelo.

This holiday season, Rustic Mornings by Isabelo shares their Rustic Mornings Christmas Breakfast Basket as an ideal gift for the season of giving. The elegant basket includes the Original Buttermilk Pancake Mix, Classic Pancake Syrup, and Breakfast Blend Coffee from Rustic Mornings by Isabelo (for more on the Rustic Mornings Christmas Breakfast Basket, see my previous post, Mornings Made Better with Rustic Mornings by Isabelo. For orders, simply shoot an email to Portia Dee Baluyut at portiabaluyut@me.com or call +63926-055-6588 and your Rustic Mornings Christmas Breakfast Basket should be on its way... ). All you need to start the day right for the holidays, contained in a basket.

And it's easy to prepare. For the Original Buttermilk Pancake Mix, all you need are 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil and 1 1/2 cups of water. Simply transfer the contents of the Original Buttermilk Pancake Mix into a bowl, add the other fresh ingredients and mix. This was going to be my first ever attempt at making pancakes at home, and according to Rustic Mornings by Isabelo's chef and owner, Portia dee Baluyut, you need to gently mix the batter until you have the desired consistency. The first thing you'll notice is that the Original Buttermilk Pancake Mix has a thicker texture than the usual pancake mix. Prepare your pan and add a dab of butter. In my case, add lots of butter. The butter not only adds a richer flavor, it also gives your pancakes a nice crisp edge for texture. Depending on the size of your pan, add a half-cup to a cup of pancake batter to the pan. Gently flatten the batter to form a circular shape then let it sizzle in the butter. Once bubbles appear on the surface of the batter, it's time to flip the pancake. Like a good steak, flip your pancake only once and that's it. As soon as the other side is browned by the butter, it's ready to serve (you can also check out the FB Page of Rustic Mornings by Isabelo and view the video on Portia Dee Baluyut's tips on makng soft and fluffy pancakes here at https://www.facebook.com/RusticMornings/).

One bag of Rustic Mornings Original Buttermilk Pancake Mix yields about 8-10 pancakes or 6 large pancakes like the way they serve it at Rustic Mornings by Isabelo. After a few minutes, my pancakes were done and ready to serve. No sweat. The pancakes are thick yet pillow soft, light and fluffy. Stack it up and round up the family for a rustic home-style breakfast...

Soft with a layer of light crispness, these pancakes have a thicker and denser texture. Dab some more butter on the pancakes and drizzle generously with the Classic Pancake Syrup from Rustic Mornings by Isabelo. The sweet syrup has subtle floral hints to complete the weekend breakfast.

With a freshly brewed cup of coffee using Rustic Mornings by Isabelo's locally-sourced and grown Breakfast Blend, you know this day's going to be a great day.
