Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew Brings Their Festive Latin Vibe to O Square 2 Greenhills

Finally, you don't have to go far to experience the festive flavors of South American cuisine...

Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew opens its second branch at O Square 2 bringing their signature Latin vibe to Greenhills (for more on their Latin-inspired cuisine, see my previous post, Cool Latin Vibes at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew from three years back). The Latin-inspired menu offers fresh and bold flavors as colorful as the vibrant hues of their murals recreating the rich culinary heritage down south of the border and Latin America. Get ready for a fiesta of flavors...at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew.

Since the opening of their very first branch in the Kapitolyo neighborhood three years ago, I've been a fan of their signature tacos and elote (for more on Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew, see my earlier post from 2016, Cool Latin Vibes at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew). Now, it's much closer to home with their second location in Greenhills.

You won't miss Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew's newest branch in O Square 2. Whether you pass through the front street side entrance or the back from the mall, colorful wall murals point you in the right direction. The unique cuisine from deep down south weaves both new and familiar notes for a refreshingly different dining experience. And the guys at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew do it with their flamboyant flair and style.

Start your sumptuous dining experience at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew with their signature Tapas like the Tuna Tirataki (P 275), an inventive take on the classic Peruvian and Japanese tataki. Served on a wooden board, the delicately flavored and intricate starter with seared sashimi-grade tuna, crisp black coral tuile and a sharp soy sesame dressing teases the palate with its contrasting yet balanced notes. Fresh and clean with a briny sweetness kicked up by the soy sesame dressing, the balanced flavors of the Tuna Tirataki is the perfect dish to start your dive into Latin-inspired cuisine.

Continue your tasty journey down south with the Tapas de Chipa (P 275), soft and chewy breaded cheese puffs that's lightly crisp on the outside topped with cream cheese, smoked salmon and drizzled with truffle honey. Each bite is a fiesta of flavors and textural contrasts coming together seamlessly. That delicate crispness and the velvety smooth cheese pair well together, while the cream cheese, smoked salmon and truffle honey add layers of richness. Not to be missed are my old favorites at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew like the Tittos' Elote (P 245), Churrasco Beef Barbacoa (P 385), Pulpo Inasal (P 395), Salted Egg Shrimp Tacos (P 145) and Choritos con Coco (P 295). And that's just for starters at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew.

Pair your tasty tapas with refreshing beverages like the soothing Cucumber Elderflower (P 110), a blend of elderflower-infused cucumber juice with lemon or go full-on Latin with the creamy and traditional Horchata (P 160) made with rice milk and almond syrup topped with cinnamon and chocolate shavings.

Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew also offers a variety of fresh salads, like the La Lucha (P 320) with garden-fresh and crisp mixed salad greens, quinoa, corn, candied cashews, oyster mushroom tempura, cherry tomatoes and crumbled queso fresco...

...drizzled with a sweet and tart honey balsamic dressing to bind everything together. The quinoa, corn, candied cashews and oyster mushroom tempura bring bright notes to the salad capped by the creamy queso fresco. The different ingredients add both distinctive flavors and textures for a satisfying salad dish. Other refreshing salads include the Tittos' Ensalada (P 345) and El Cesar's (P 295).

Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew transforms the traditional tortilla with their playfully inventive Pizzadillas or pizza tortillas. The Truffle Pork (P 345) features juicy torched pork belly slices with a blend of melted cheeses on a soft flour tortilla draped in rich truffle bechamel sauce topped with crunchy garlic bits and finished with Latin spices. The delicate notes of the pork are perfectly complemented by the deep, nutty hints of the truffle bechamel sauce and crunchy garlic leaving a lingering savory richness after every bite. I like how all the different subtle and nuanced flavors come together without overwhelming the other for a perfectly balanced finish. This one's a winner. Other Pizzadillas include the classic Four Cheese (P 295), Pesto and Mushroom (P 295) and Garlic Shrimp BBQ (P 325).

A classic paella completes any festive Latin-inspired feast, and Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew's Paella Negra (P 520 Medio-good for 3-5/P 895 Grande-good for 6-8) fits the bill. Soft and fluffy rice infused with the nutty richness of squid ink deliver bursts of vibrant flavors with each bite. The Paella Negra is topped with the day's freshest catch like squid rings, succulent prawns, plump mussels, smoked fish and French beans with a generous dab of creamy garlic mojo sauce in the center sprinkled with smoked paprika. If you prefer a carnivorous all-meat option, go for the Paella de Carne (P 445 Medio/745 Grande).

Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew adds a Latin spin to pasta with their sumptuous and savory Tittos' Signature Steak Pasta (P 595) with house made squid-ink linguine topped with pan-seared USDA Prime Angus Ribeye with buttered mixed vegetables and served with Cuban garlic toast. Each bite delivers rich savory notes after another, from the tender and juicy ribeye to the squid-ink linguine. This one's a full meal in itself. Other pasta dishes include Pollo Cilantro Pesto (P 295) and Papas Enchilada (P 325).

The Crab Tortilla de Bomba (P 525) is something I did not expect at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew. Essentially your typical fried crab omelette, Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew adds an indulgent spin for a totally new flavor experience. Draped in torched Hollandaise sauce, coriander, lime and Latin spices, the masterfully executed omelet is soft and fluffy with just a light crispness on the edges. The pillow-soft texture is amplified by the torched Hollandaise giving it a decadent finish. The generous filling of succulent crab meat completes the dish with its briny sweetness. You can say it's just an omelette, but any dish, no matter how simple, goes to my list of favorites when done well with the freshest ingredients.

The Asado Argentino (P 790) is one of Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew's signature steaks, with grilled USDA Prime Angus Flank Steak marinated in Latin spices served with sweet potato mash, garlic chips, chimichurri salsa, fried tortillas and a choice of side dish (choose from Chili Beans, Papas Fritas, Truffled Mashed Potato, Latino Coleslaw, Patacones, Chorizo Mac and Cheese, Arroz Latino and Steamed Rice). Perfectly grilled to medium rare with a juicy pink center, the lean yet fork-tender beef has just the right bite delivering that savory and beefy richness tempered by the sharpness of the chimichurri. It's pure beefy flavors, just the way I like it. Other steak dishes include Tittos Signature Ribeye Steak (P 1,750) with 400g of USDA Prime Angus Beef and the 18-Hours Gaucho Steak (P 550), a tender sous-vide steak.

You'll find the all-time favorites like Burritos and Tacos on the extensive menu, but you won't find the Kare-Kare Burrito (P 320) or Salted Egg Shrimp Tacos (P 145) anywhere else except right here at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew. Diners can also enjoy hearty rice bowls, the Arroz Tazones, from Monday to Friday between 11:00 am to 4:00 pm like the Pork Tazones (P 260), Fish Tazones (P 240), Chicken Tazones (P 240) and Beef Tazones (P 260).

End your feast on high note with Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew's decadent frozen Brazo de Mercedes (P 225)...

...or the sinfully tempting Dulce de Leche Cheesecake (P 250), a frozen ice cream cheesecake topped with crisp caramelized cereal, dulce de leche, strawberry puree and thick chocolate sauce. Other equally indulgent options include the moist Chocolate Cake (P 250), Molten Lava Cake (P 250) and Zesty Granita Semi-Frio (P 225).
