Scenes From the Epic 2022 Pool BBQ Festival as Solaire Resort Turns Nine

In terms of sheer scale and execution, this ranks as probably one of the best events this year despite mother nature raining on the parade. And Solaire Resort pulled it off to celebrate nine memorable years with style...

The milestone 9th Anniversary of Solaire Resort was highlighted by an impressive outdoor event, the 2022 Pool BBQ Festival last March 12 at the property's enormous pool area facing the scenic bay. The lavish outdoor feast, a grand barbecue on a massive scale still resonates after a few days. And yes, even despite the freaky rains that day. Then again, maybe it became even more special with the rains. Here's a peek at the scenes from a memorable BBQ feast by the pool at Solaire Resort...

As the metro slowly opens up with the easing of quarantine restrictions, dining out is once again possible with the mandatory health and safety protocols in place for a new normal. Now on its ninth year, Solaire Resort pulled all the stops with an extravagant BBQ spread from the day's freshest catch to pork, beef, lamb and chicken with multiple stations around the pool. From a logistics standpoint, its a massive undertaking executed with the stylish flair the property has always been known for in nearly a decade.

An event of this magnitude requires the proper bearings, and Solaire Resort installed directional signages to guide you in navigating through all the tempting options around the pool.

As guests poured in, the different stations started serving a wide array of tasty offerings including fresh sushi and sashimi...

...best paired with cocktails to get you into the summer vibe...

...with some Jamon Serrano and you're all set for the famed sunset by the bay.

What's a barbecue without Lechon? A series of Carving Stations awaited guests, with whole pigs roasting low and slow on fiery charcoal...

...along side other savory options including Roast Beef...

...Roasted Lamb...

...and Chicken.

Near the entrance, whole slabs of premium Salmon were smoked in a sand pit...

...while Sausages grilled simultaneously on the other side. A fragrant aroma filled the air which felt quite liberating after more than two long years of the quarantine experience.

Craving for Seafood? Pick your catch and have it grilled. A half dozen oysters with an ice cold Engkanto Beer will have you going back for another round.

Paella, gourmet cheeses and various cuisines from around the world were served that day...

...including desserts just in case you wanted to start with something sweet. Solaire Resort meticulously planned everything down to the minutest detail for a memorable outdoor dining experience.

As we eagerly awaited the sunset with another cocktail in hand, the unthinkable happened. Without warning, grey skies loomed overhead. And yes, it did rain that day. But Solaire Resort was prepared, distributing raincoats and umbrellas while directing guests to the covered areas. Cocktails were also served as we waited for the rains to cease. With clockwork precision, the different food stations were covered up but that didn't dampen our mood at all.

As soon as the rains stopped, the culinary teams of Solaire Resort re-fired all the stations without skipping a beat. Even the tables and chairs were wiped spotlessly clean and dry. In a fluid and seamless operation, the party was back in gear in no time. And that's what impressed me the most.

A live concert culminated the festive Pool BBQ Festival at Solaire Resort, and not even the rain could stop it. That's the way you celebrate a milestone 9th Anniversary.  Bravo to Solaire Resort, and here's to many more outdoor BBQ feasts to come...
