Love the classic red truck. |
Now that's a cool Radio Flyer... |
And they still get larger than this... |
This one needed a truck of its own... |
These monster pumpkins are so large, you'll need a forklift. |

That is mental! What on earth are you supposed to do with those massive ones!?
ReplyDeleteTotally mental! One mega pumpkin can probably make enough pies for a small town! To this day, I am still so amazed...thanks for dropping by, firefoodie!
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, there is a town in Central Wisconsin that has a pumpkin festival. Nekoosa holds this festival and they have a contest for the largest pumpkin AND they drop a huge pumpkin from a forklift onto a baseball field. It's quite a sight and definitely an interesting crowd. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kimberly, thanks for dropping by! I can imagine that festival in Nekoosa must be awesome! Dropping the largest pumpkin on the baseball field is definitely one for the books! I hope to visit this one day. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow...Amazing! I wonder what they did to those ginormous pumpkins when the festival was over..
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing huge crowds scooping out pumpkin meat from the larger ones, and going home with large bags. So tempting to join in and scoop a couple of pounds...thanks for dropping by, Ducky!
ReplyDeleteThose pumpkins are massive! I can't believe how huge they are… it's incredible. I can only imagine what it was like to see in person. Also, I love that truck!
ReplyDeletehey Nicole, I'm still so amazed when I think of it, seeing all those pumpkins in different shapes, colors, and sizes. And that truck's pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI adore Fall, mainly for pumpkins! It is crazy how big they can get. I just can't image seeing one in person! I need to find one locally lol! Great post and pictures!

ReplyDeleteI just went to a pumpkin patch! :) I love pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteHi Sookie, thanks for dropping by!
ReplyDeleteHello! I just found your site via NotVentures.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say, I grew up in Half Moon Bay and while the specific pumpkin patch pictured is pretty popular it's not even half of it! There are pumpkin patches ALL OVER the area during October and November. They have everything from pony rides to corn mazes. And in the beginning of the month they have a huge festival. Aptly named: The Pumpkin Festival.
Someone get's a prize ($$$) for the biggest pumpkin, they have HUGE pumpkin carvings, there is a million kinds of pumpkin food, and a ton of people.
As for what they do with them afterwards? Your guess is as good as mine...
Great pictures!
Hi Sydney, thanks! I really wish I had more time to explore Half Moon Bay as I was just driving through. I remember just stopping at the roadside patch because of the amazing colors and the huge crowds, and to this day I am still so amazed. The Pumpkin Festival looks really fun and I'm sure this is something to look forward to every year, I wish I was back on the road again...Thanks for dropping by!
