Leonardo's Lechon Goes Prime Time...

The Carnivore Lechon takes the spot light in yet another TV feature...

Leonardo's Lechon, one of the metro's iconic names with a solid reputation going as far back as 1947, goes on prime time with another TV feature. And it's the Carnivore Lechon that's hugging the spotlight, an innovative variation of the classic Lechon Tagalog stuffed with sausages, bacon, and potatoes for pure pork love on national television.

Fresh from the charcoal pits, the Carnivore Lechon is propped up for its beauty shots by Mang July, one of Leonardo's Lechon's long-time employees for the GMA-7 crew. Under the bright lights, the Carnivore Lechon is looking good as the camera zooms in closer for the money shot...

Meanwhile, behind the charcoal pits, the staff of Leonardo's Lechon prepared one of the day's many orders, "party chopped" as per the request from one of their loyal customers. The crisp outer layer of crackling is expertly peeled away whole, with the chopped lechon pieces stuffed back under the skin. Very cool.

Back at the charcoal pits, the Carnivore Lechon is repositioned for another shot as a fragrant aroma slowly fills the air. The tender and juicy pork and its savory stuffing of sausages, bacon, and potatoes are revealed as the camera goes in even closer. After all, this is prime time television, and going up close and personal is mandatory.
