It's the weekend, time to haul in the day's freshest catch...
Fridays and Saturdays mean only one thing, it's a lavish seafood feast for dinner. Hyatt City of Dreams presents the Seafood Extravaganza at The Cafe, a sumptuous buffet offering the day's fresh catch in an impressive buffet spread.
Throughout its expansive live theater-inspired open kitchen layout, The Cafe presents a bountiful ocean harvest from the first station all the way to the far end for an epic seafood feast. The Cafe at Hyatt City of Dreams always impresses, and the start of another weekend presents yet another facet to The Cafe's dining experience (for more on The Cafe at Hyatt City of Dreams, see my earlier posts, Let's Do Sunday Brunch at The Cafe on the special Sunday Brunch spread, Spice Trades: The Road to Gurgaon Starts at The Cafe on the previous festival featuring Indian cuisine, Cantonese Treasures at The Cafe showcasing Chinese cuisine, and Eastern Culinary Journeys at The Cafe featuring Asian cuisine). At The Cafe's Seafood Extravaganza, diners can feast on heaping mounds of fresh Slipper Lobsters...
...fresh and plump Shrimps elegantly laid out on baskets...
...and succulent Clams for that perfect start to another sumptuous feast at The Cafe. The different stations at The Cafe also offer their own inventive take on fresh seafood...
...like Clams in Ginger and Oyster Sauce at the Asian Station. Each station presents unique dishes using the freshest seafood for the ultimate seafood experience.
Also at the Asian Station, diners can have their fill of fresh Black Tiger Prawns (L) prepared just the way you like it. Spicy Chili Sauce, Salt and Pepper or Lime and Ginger? Your call. At the Carving Station, a whole Baked Trevally (R) is another tempting option with its delicate and mildly sweet briny notes.
At the Filipino Station, diners can enjoy comforting and nostalgic local flavors like the Fried Tilapia served with fresh tomatoes.
Other must-try seafood mains at The Cafe include the Grilled Squid with Lemon Garlic Aioli (L) with its fresh and clean notes perfectly complemented by the rich lemon and garlic-infused aioli. Then, there's the impressive array of fresh seafood (R) neatly stacked on ice, including shrimps, crabs, mussels, and clams.
There's just nothing quite like fresh and succulent seafood delicately sauteed in garlic and butter, and the station chef prepares it a la minute so you get it fresh and hot. You can also have your fresh catch baked or grilled, just ask the station chefs for their recommendations.
In the mood for some Lobster Thermidore? No problem. The station chefs at The Cafe can whip it up for you in no time at all.
Indulge in more Asian flavors with Shrimps in Lime and Ginger Sauce, fresh off the pan. And there's more. The Japanese Station offers a variety of tempura and noodle dishes as well as fresh sushi and sashimi at the Fresh Seafood and Salad Station, freshly grilled seafood at the Grill Station, noodles and dimsum at the Chinese Station and so much more.
When a sudden craving for beef hits you, The Cafe is more than ready to satisfy your carnivorous cravings. Behold the Slow-Roasted Steamship Wagyu Beef at the Carving Station, a massive slab of premium beef roasted for hours for that melt-in-your-mouth goodness.
Other tasty options include the Deep-Fried Pig's Head (L) at the Filipino Station, the Grilled Pork Loin with Apple Cajun Sauce and Crispy Bacon (R), Grilled Tuna with Pickled Red Radish and Sesame Soya, and Grilled Flank Steak with Garlic Confit and Chasseur Sauce just in case you want more beef.
At the Dessert Station, cap your lavish buffet feast with an equally impressive selection of indulgent pastries, cakes, ice cream or Crepes, prepared a la minute with your choice of sweet filling. When you can't wait for the start of the weekend, head on down to The Cafe at Hyatt City of Dreams where everyday becomes a memorable dining experience.
