Mmmm...Mamou!

Prime USDA Angus Ribeye. That's more than enough reason to drop everything and drive to Mamou for a steak fix.

Healthy Start: Looks healthy, tastes even better. The Healdsburg Harvest Salad had a nice sweet fruity dressing, drizzled with nuts and white cheese.

And here she is...100% USDA Angus Ribeye, medium rare. Lightly charred on the outside, juicy pink center, medium rare is really the way to go. Topped with crispy fried fat trimmings...nice!

The 14 oz. (400 grams) single order comes with serving spoons, it's that tender, and to scoop up the drippings and juices. Simply seasoned with salt, you don't need anything else. Really.

The ribeye is tender and juicy, almost butter-like. You can ask for Mamou's traditional steak sauce, but for meat this good, all you need is a pinch of rock salt, served alongside the steak. Paired the steak with baked mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, which were both great. The table beside us had the Red Steak Rice, will definitely try that next time.

The last few slices...

Real premium quality beef, simply served. Perfect. Pricey but well worth it. Dude, this is good steak.

You can get your steak fix at Mamou, located at the ground floor of Serendra at The Fort.

  1. Am not much into steaks; however, when I lived in NYC, we used to eat at the Palm and/or Sparks for their steaks.
