The Lamb Gyro at Cyma Greek Taverna

It never fails. Really. Every time I'm at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall, I just have to drop by Cyma Greek Taverna. And the Lamb Gyros are to blame.

Cyma Greek Taverna's Lamb Gyros (P 220), marinated lamb with tomatoes, red onions and parsley for that unmistakable zing, and liberally drizzled with the garlic, cucumber and yogurt tzatziki dressing, wrapped in pita.

You can add some roasted potatoes with herbs as a side dish if you like...very tempting, but I'm keeping it light.

Just pour some of the chili sauce, mixed with red wine vinegar, olive oil and oregano, and you're good to go.

And since you're already there, why not cap the light meal with dessert?

The Milopita (P 175), fresh baked phyllo pastry triangles, light, flaky and crisp, stuffed with apples, drizzled with sweet caramel sauce and topped with candied walnuts. If that's not enough, go Ala Mode to complete your sugar fix...

The flaky pastry shell, the sweet apples, the crunch of the walnuts and the ice cream...awesome.

Cyma Greek Taverna has more to offer, and will feature more posts soon. Since I never fail to drop by the place anyway whenever I'm at the mall...

Cyma Greek Taverna is located at the Level 6 of the Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City, or call 637-3090 for inquiries.
