Now Grilling: Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill Opens At City of Dreams

A New York icon fires up the grill at its newest location, offering its signature steaks alongside even more dishes with a Latin spin...

New York's Wolfgang's Steakhouse opens its fourth location in Manila with Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill at City of Dreams built around a new and unique grill concept with more dishes while maintaining the original steakhouse DNA of the brand. The new location showcases savory grilled specialties inspired by Latin flavors as well as their best-selling steaks for a refreshed take on the Wolfgang's Steakhouse experience. Curious? Then, read on...

The new location exudes the familiar look and feel of Wolfgang's Steakhouse, from the elegant dark wood hues to pristine white tabletop linens. But Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill in City of Dreams offers its own exclusive menu of grilled specialties to complement its renowned repertoire of world-class steaks. That means even more savory options to satisfy your carnivorous appetite.

The new concept reflects a logical progression for the iconic New York brand as it adapts to a changing culinary landscape. For countless loyal fans of Wolfgang's Steakhouse, the soul of the brand remains unchanged. You can still enjoy your favorite USDA Prime Dry-Aged Porterhouse and their other signature dishes at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill in City of Dreams. Plus a whole new menu fresh off the fiery grills...

Peter Zwiener, President and Co-Founder of Wolfgang's Steakhouse, welcomed guests at the exclusive preview of Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill as he continues the legacy built by his father with an aggressive global expansion now with 32 restaurants and growing around the world.

From New York to the world, the addition of Latin-inspired dishes at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill is also a tribute to the founder's wife who hails from Peru. Diners can expect even more flavorful new experiences at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill (for  more on Wolfgang's Steakhouse, see my previous posts Bringing New York to You: Bring Home The Wolfgang's Steakhouse Dining Experience with Wolfgang's Steakhouse Catering from 2019, Dinner with the Zwieners at Wolfgang's Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener, Now Open at BGC from 2018 and Prime Rib Weekends and Porterhouse for Two at Wolfgang's Steakhouse from 2016).

At Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill, you can expect the same consistent high standard of service to your dining experience. And the feast began with tasty bites...

...starting with the Reuben Sandwich piled high with slices of Dry-Aged Brisket Pastrami, sauerkraut and Gruyere on toasted rye bread with sides of crisp chips and pickles. It's not surprising to find a classic New York staple, pastrami on rye, on the menu of Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill. Known for their expertise on dry-aging quality meats, the Reuben Sandwich by Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill is a perfect fit on the menu offering tasty bites for a light meal or snack.

The Dry-Aged Brisket Pastrami is what gives this sandwich its flavorful bite tempering the beefy richness with its mild briny notes. There's a whole lot of work behind each slab and cut of beef at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill, starting with the tedious dry-aging process. It's this uncompromising commitment to quality that defines your dining experience at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill

Next, a duo of salads were served led by the Burrata Salad. The rich and silky smooth burrata drizzled with balsamic glaze on a slice of fresh and tart tomato with roasted Portobello mushroom and sautéed bell peppers is an elegantly plated starter that first feeds the eyes before the palate. A slice of the burrata along with the different components of the dish delivers a fresh burst of flavors, each with its own distinct notes and textures coming together in a delicately balanced finish.

The Arugula Salad clearly illustrates pure elegance in its simplicity with only the freshest and premium ingredients delivering all the flavorful notes. Mildly sweet with just a whisper of bitter spice from the arugula, the flavors of the salad are completed by the delectable sharpness of the paper-thin Parmesan wedges and sweet slices of green apples tied together by a tart and vibrant vinaigrette.

The popular Canadian Bacon, a thick slab of cured pork belly, has always been a popular item at Wolfgang's Steakhouse. And you'll find this at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill too. It's bacon the way we imagine it to be, thick and fat and not paper-thin strips of the usual commercial variety. Each bite drapes the palate with its savory richness followed by subtle yet lingering smoky hints, it's the perfect starter before the main course at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill...

The USDA Prime Dry-Aged Porterhouse they say, is the quintessential Wolfgang's Steakhouse experience. Served sizzling hot with butter, the fragrant aroma of this beautiful slab of beef just triggers your long dormant inner primal cravings. Fork tender and juicy fillet mignon on one side and an equally tender striploin on the other, the USDA Prime Dry-Aged Porterhouse is a carnivore's dream.

Richly seasoned with salt and pepper, the USDA Prime Dry-Aged Porterhouse is just perfect as is to enjoy the pure, clean and unrestrained beefy notes with each big bite. This is serious beef, and a lot has been said and written about the USDA Prime Dry-Aged Porterhouse of Wolfgang's Steakhouse making it the reason to visit one of New York's finest here in Manila.

But there's a whole lot more from the grill at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill...

...like the Grilled Barbecue Short Ribs. The tender bone-in slab just falls of the bone while melting in your mouth like butter. A dab of the special sauce with its bold and sharp mildly sweet notes cuts through the richness of the Grilled Barbecue Short Ribs. Masterfully grilled, the slab of beef delivers that subtle smoky finish to complete the flavors.

The Peruvian Lomo Saltado is another exclusive offering at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill, featuring sliced tenderloin with a juicy pink center topped with fresh onions, tomatoes, herbs and sauces. Each bite delivers a range of flavors from tangy and mildly salty to herbal complementing the bold beefy notes. There's layers of flavors with the Lomo Saltado, adding yet another option to your beef cravings at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill

There's just nothing quite like a full plate at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill...

The grill concept opens up infinite possibilities at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill with even more new and exclusive dishes on the menu for you to discover and experience...

...like the Roast Chicken a la Brasa, a whole roasted chicken with herbs and sauces as a savory alternative. The delicate notes of the chicken are complemented by its own juices, herbs and sauces. Moist and juicy, the Roast Chicken a la Brasa was an unexpected surprise at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill. Ordering chicken in a steakhouse may not seem to make any sense, but this Roast Chicken a la Brasa should change your mind.

The perfect sweet ending comes in four tempting desserts at Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill starting with my personal pick, the classic Pecan Pie...

...the decadent and silky smooth Chocolate Mousse Cake...

...the sweet and tart Key Lime Pie...

...and the New York Style Cheesecake. The Reuben SandwichUSDA Prime Dry-Aged PorterhouseGrilled Barbecue Short RibsLomo Saltado, and Roast Chicken a la Brasa. That's more than enough reasons to visit Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill at City of Dreams, don't you think?
