My uncle recently treated all of us to lunch at Korea Garden, and it was a great time to bond with family, rediscover old favorites, and discover new ones. Korea Garden is one of those early pioneers in bringing real authentic Korean food to the metro. And after all these years, Korea Garden has not lost its touch.
Traditional appetizers, providing a combination of sweet and spicy, perfect way to start the meal, a prelude to even more good things to come.
Mandu (Steamed Dumplings), delicate, subtle, yet so full of flavor. Always a favorite, the steamed dumplings at Korea Garden is consistently good.
Bibimnengmeun (Spicy Cold Noodles). This was new to me, the bold flavors and lightly chilled temperature makes this a refreshing dish. Nice addition to my list of favorites at Korea Garden.
I always enjoy doing lettuce wraps with Korean barbecue, and the use of vegetables provide a nice balance typical with Korean cuisine.
Chap Chae (Glass noodles with pork, mushroom and vegetables), the colors and flavors always amaze me.
Pajon (Spring Onion Cake), light, delicate flavors. Great side dish to complement your meal at Korea Garden.
Nakchi Bogum (Spicy Octopus), an old favorite. The spicy sauce just goes great with rice. The leeks and peppers also give it a nice crunch and flavor.
Beef and Chicken Bulgogi, perefectly marinated and grilled on a traditional cast iron skillet, great for stuffing in lettuce wraps.
Galbi Chim (Beef Rib Stew), an all-time favorite. Tender, fall-off-the-bone beef ribs with a rich sweet and spicy sauce. Time for extra rice. If it's authentic Korean dishes you're after, you can't go wrong with Korea Garden.
Korea Garden Restaurant is located at 128 Jupiter St., Bel-Air 2, Makati City or call 895-5443 for inquiries.

Looks like your uncle knows his restaurants! Lots of tasty variety there, but my pick would be the beef rib stew. Beef ribs do take a long time, but it is the slow cooking that makes them great. Thanks for sharing your trip to Korea Garden!
