Tittos Latin BBQ & Brews Celebrates Seven Flavorful Years with Exciting New Dishes

It all began when a group of friends turned restaurateurs shared their inventive take on Latin flavors with a distinctly creative vibe for one of the amazing and colorful stories in the local culinary scene. And they must be doing something right as Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew celebrates seven flavorful years...

Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew turns seven, and this milestone is celebrated with sumptuous new dishes executed in that vibrant Latin flair that made it a favorite hangout among its countless fans for a tasty meal and soothing libations. The new dishes reflects the continuing culinary journey and evolving style of Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew, and for its loyal diners that means a fresh round of delectable flavors to add to your list of must-try experiences.

Inside Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew, diners are transported further down south of the border with its colorful and festive palette of vivid hues. Chef Jerwyn Rabo draws inspiration from the vast and diverse culinary heritage from the celebrated Latin world for a repertoire of comforting flavors at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew (for more on Tittos Latin BBQ & Brews, see my posts Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew Brings Their Festive Latin Vibe to O Square 2 Greenhills from 2019 and Cool Latin Vibes at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew from the launch of the dining concept back in 2016).

Taking both Latin traditions and a modern contemporary perspective, Chef Jerwyn Rabo paints a a fresh splash of colorful notes with his menu additions. This novel reinterpretation of Latin flavors presents a world of flavorful possibilities, lavishly unfolded at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew.

But first, some refreshing libation. Tucked deep inside Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew is its secret bar offering variety of spirited cocktails and spirits. A tipple before a meal at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew sounds like the proper game plan. But if you prefer a non-alcoholic option, Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew has that well-covered too.

A round of thirst-quenching Agua Fresca opens up the palate to begin your Latin journey at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew...

...with the Cucumber Elderflower (P 120). The subtle sweetness of the cucumber lingers on the palate followed by the fragrant hints of elderflower. Other equally tempting options include the Tamarind Cola (P 110), Pineapple Ginger (P 110), Limonada Rosada (P 110) and Almond Horchata (P 120).

Chef Jerwyn Rabo then served the first of many tasty Latin-inspired dishes from the extensive menu of Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew...

...starting with the Pastelitos (P 275), one of many Tapas offerings fresh off the kitchen. A creative spin on the local empanada, the Pastelitos is stuffed with tender, juicy and savory chicken served with a creamy aioli dip. Each comforting bite releases fresh flavors made even richer with the creamy aioli dip for a winning Tapas creation by Chef Jerwyn Rabo.

The Croquetas (P 240) is Chef Jerwyn's classic twist on the Spanish staple made with soft mashed potatoes with a delicately crisp outer layer of breading stuffed with fresh salsa and topped with sweet pork chorizo. The delectable play on textural contrasts and bold notes teases the palate, coming together in a perfectly seamless finish of rich and savory flavors tempered by the subtle sharpness of the leeks.

From their Street Tacos selection, the Carnitas Tostadas (P 270) with torched pork, spiced pineapple and fresh salsa offers both savory, sweet and tart notes in one bite. The addition of spiced pineapple brings another layer of flavor complementing the other components in a delicate balance. A squeeze of lemon along with the salsa verde completes the flavors.

The El Toro (P 350) is a puffed pastry with cheese, caramelized onions and tender chunks of beef delivering flavorful bursts with each bite. One of my top picks that day, the El Toro's beefy flavors linger long after the first bite. Like all the tapas served, each dish brings fresh, rich yet clean flavors to the table best paired with a round of libations from the bar.

Chef Jerwyn then crosses culinary borders with his inventive Argentinian Shrimp Pasta (P 520), a hearty noodle dish with succulent shrimps for a unique creation. A meal in itself, the Argentinian Shrimp Pasta combines the creamy and mild sweetness of the spiced coconut based sauce with the briny hints of shrimps for fresh, bold yet clean flavors.

Topped with fried zucchini, herbs and grilled chips underneath for another play on contrasting textures and fresh flavors, Chef Jerwyn transforms the usual pasta with his Latin-inspired flavors. And it works.

The comforting Crispy Fish and Chips (P 480) is Chef Jerwyn's spin on another international classic adding even more crunch with the battered fillet of fish and fries. Served with a a creamy dip, the fish and fries combo is a welcome addition to the menu offering more options to suit any craving or appetite.

In between bites, the Tittos Iced Tea (P 110) cleanses the palate for the next round of savory dishes...

...by Chef Jerwyn Rabo with two new mains. The tasty duo of savory dishes presents innovative reinterpretations of comforting staples, updated with a distinct Latin touch.

The Lengua Estofado (P 800) is Chef Jerwyn's homage to enduring comfort food classics with slabs of fork-tender ox tongue laid on soft and silky smooth mashed potatoes with tomato crema sauce loaded with mushrooms, onions, corn and carrots. Tediously slow-cooked for hours, the ox-tongue almost melts in your mouth with its buttery texture. The richness of the sauce binds everything together, finished by the bold beefy notes of the lengua for another satisfying dish from the new menu at Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew. This one's high up on my list of personal picks from the new menu by Chef Jerwyn

The Carne Guisada Bowl (P 550) is a fusion of flavors with various ingredients like compound butter beneath the richly seasoned rice topped with nori and sesame for a novel east meets west twist. Sweet corn, grilled tomatoes, carrots, boiled egg and crisp chips complete the hearty bowl. Simply mix the bowl and enjoy each spoonful with each component weaving its own flavors to the mix. Just like shawarma rice, the Carne Guisada Bowl brings comforting notes, kicked up by the mildly spicy salsa rioja and crema for even more lavish layers of flavors.

The Banana Bread A La Mode (P 250) caps a sumptuous feast of comforting flavors at Tittos Latin & Brew. More than just a success story, Tittos latin BBQ & Brew is about resilience, patience and steadfast determination in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. And it's a continuing story that promises even more better things yet to come as the young and dynamic partners Winslow Justin Co, Genn Oliver Co and Chef Jerwyn Rabo push on to share more of the festive repertoire of flavors to a much wider market. Now with two branches in the metro, clearly Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew is well on its way as it rebounds from the pandemic experience. With seven years tucked under its belt, expect to hear more from Tittos Latin BBQ & Brew. In the meantime, enjoy the new dishes and that cool Latin vibe at their location in Greenhills
