A hearty bowl of choice beef, pork, chicken and seafood with everything on it fresh from the hot pot and more...

Shabu-Shabu Ichiban, Nagoya's leading hot pot restaurant, simplifies the hot pot experience with its sumptuous sets with everything you want for that perfect hot pot and more. Simply pick your set and enjoy...

Located at the new Circuit Lane in Makati, Shabu-Shabu Ichiban takes hot pot dining to a whole new level with its sumptuous sets for a hearty and satisfying experience. And Nagoya's number one hot pot restaurant knows their stuff, offering diners several options for that perfect hot pot meal.

First step: Choose your drink. Shabu-Shabu Ichiban offers refillable servings of refreshing Iced Tea, Pineapple Juice, Strawberry Red Iced Tea, Lemonade, Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, and Royal to pair with your Edamame (R) for starters. Shabu-Shabu Ichiban's hot pot sets takes the guesswork out of hot pot...

...with sets that include beverages, tasty starters and side dishes to dessert. Shabu-Shabu Ichiban offers three tasty options for your hot pot, Set A (P 488/P 588 Weekdays and P 688 Weekends and Holidays) with Chinese Cabbage Kimchi, Vegetable Platter, US Beef Short Plate, Boston Butt or pork shoulder, Chicken Leg Quarter, Chicken & Pork Dumplings, Assorted Balls, Udon, Japanese Rice, Raw Egg, Drinks, a Free Dessert, and a choice of Kushikatsu or Japanese-Style Fried Chicken. Set B (P 688/P 788 Weekdays and P 888 Weekends and Holidays), includes everything from Set A plus US Angus Chuck Eye Roll, Sushi & Sashimi Platter, Shrimp Tempura, and Edamame. Set C (P 1,788/P 1,888 Weekdays and P 1,988 Weekends and Holidays) includes King Crab Legs in the mix for the ultimate hot pot. One set price per person for a lavish hot pot feast. Shabu-Shabu Ichiban's Kushikatsu, or skewered bean paste cutlet, kicks off my Shabu-Shabu Ichiban hot pot experience, tender and juicy with a crisp outer layer drizzled with a sharp bean paste sauce. Nice.

The set also includes Shrimp Tempura, with succulent shrimps coated in a light batter and deep-fried to a perfect crispness...

...and the Japanese-Style Fried Chicken, tender and juicy chicken capped by a crisp outer layer richly seasoned for intense notes. The tasty side dishes alone add to the overall value of Shabu-Shabu Ichiban's hot pot sets. Then, it's time to choose your Soup Base for the signature hot pot. At Shabu-Shabu Ichiban, diners can choose from 24 flavorful soup stocks for that perfect hot pot, including Konbu (seaweed), Ginger, Vegetable, Plum Vegetable, Tomato, Tonkotsu, Tonkotsu Soy, Shoyu, Soy Milk, Soy Milk Sesame, Spicy Soy Milk, Soybean with Healthy Spice, Spicy Miso, Spicy Miso Butter, Spicy Miso Kimchi, Taiwan, Miso Taiwan, Spicy Healthy Spice, Kimchi, Tantan, Spicy Szechuan, Red Hot Szechuan, Curry, and Basil Cream. The pots include a divider in the middle, so you can opt for two different soup stocks. The popular Tonkotsu pork broth and the tasty Konbu seaweed soup base were my choices for the hot pot.

The fresh Vegetable Platter is then served, with crisp garden-fresh greens and vegetables, assorted balls, and two kinds of tofu.

And here's the beef. Thinly sliced US Angus Chuck Eye Roll, US Beef Short Plate, and Boston Butt pork shoulder, neatly stacked and arranged on ice for the hot pot.

A serving of Chicken and Pork Dumplings, along with slices of Chicken Leg Quarter round out the ingredients for the hot pot.

A bowl of soft and chewy Udon noodles and raw eggs were also served for the hot pot. The variety of fresh and premium ingredients make this one of the better deals in the metro, and watching the hot pot simmer with the different ingredients right on your table just adds to the experience at Shabu-Shabu Ichiban.

Part of the fun of the hot pot dining experience is cooking your own meal right on your table. But just in case you need help, the staff at Shabu-Shabu Ichiban are more than happy to assist in preparing your very own hot pot. Top your steaming hot pot with raw egg and after just a few minutes, your hot pot is ready...

The flavors are rich, clean and fresh, with the broth infused with the different flavors of the various ingredients. Two dipping sauces are served with your hot pot, a soy based sauce and a ponzu sauce which brings out the flavors of the different ingredients of the hot pot. The blend of beef, chicken, pork, vegetables, dumplings and assorted balls combine for a comforting hot pot feast.

In between sips from your always steaming hot bowl of hot pot, have some fresh seafood bites from the Sushi & Sashimi Platter for a burst of refreshing briny sweetness. The assortment of fresh seafood and rolls add to the flavorful mix at Shabu-Shabu Ichiban.

A few more bowls of steaming hot pot, and you've just experienced Nagoya's best hot pot restaurant right here at Circuit Lane Makati. End your hot pot feast on a high note with indulgent ice cream in Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry sprinkled with soy bean powder and drizzled with syrup. Perfect.

After a hearty and satisfying hot pot lunch at Shabu-Shabu Ichiban, take a leisurely walk around the new Circuit Lane Makati. With its impressive selection of fresh and premium ingredients, Shabu-Shabu Ichiban is definitely one of the must-try spots this side of the metro...
