Tagaytay Food Festival 2025 Day 1: Celebrating The Food That Binds with Tradition and Creativity

How far would you go for the food you love? Three memorable days in Tagaytay proved that no distance is far enough to deter you from the food you love, not even the constant rains and fog could dampen your craving. More than nourishment, the food that sustains us also binds us together shaping and defining our culture and identity. In a celebration of creativity and community, the Tagaytay Food Festival 2025 edition reminds us once more how food reconnects us with the land, produce and local culture from the simplest staple to intricate expressions. 


From July 18 to 20, the famed southern region showcased its full tapestry of colorful flavors from traditional local and international cuisine to modern contemporary executions in a lavish display of regional pride. Chefs, restaurateurs, farmers, producers and brands eagerly responded to the call to represent the very best of Tagaytay as the premier dining destination down south of Manila in a unified and collaborative celebration. The Manila Food & Beverages Expo, or simply MAFBEX, recently showcased some of the very best culinary personalities in the country along with innovative new products in its 2022 edition at the World Trade Center. Founding Chairman of Disciples Escoffier Philippines, Chef Philip John Golding along with Chef Chad Joseph Datu and Donatella Chua led a cooking demonstration highlighting the ubiquitous mung bean into a lavish lentil soup prepared two ways with an elegant French style and a comforting local reinterpretation for an exciting new spin on a popular staple. My Personal Picks at the The Peninsula Manila's MaArte oPEN House Preview

The country's finest gourmet selections converge at The Peninsula Manila once more for the much-awaited yearly art and shopping event...the MaArte Fair.


Now on its 11th year, the MaArte Fair showcases Filipino creativity and artistry from August 16 to 18, 2019 at The Peninsula Manila with a festive mix of local products. From single-origin chocolates to gourmet home-cooked meals, organic produce and herbal teas, fashion apparel, jewelry and accessories to bags, shoes, pottery and home furnishings, this year's MaArte Fair promises both fun and nostalgia with over 65 hand-picked merchants. Sights and Flavors at Madrid Fusion Manila 2016

It's been two weeks since Madrid Fusion Manila 2016, and I can still savor the rich flavors of Spanish jamon and wine, as fresh and vivid as those three memorable days in early April. 


After a successful pre-launch Tapas Night (see my earlier post on The Best of Spain at Green Sun), the much awaited culinary event of the year, Madrid Fusion Manila 2016, had finally, and officially, started. Jamon, wine, and more jamon and wine. And it just can't get any better than that (see my previous post on Interporc and Pork Love at Madrid Fusion Manila).
