Want More Claypot Rice? Fantaste Celebrates Its 1st Year Anniversary with the Launch of New Claypot Rice Variants

You can't beat a comforting and sumptuous pot of rice loaded with tasty toppings, slow cooked in the traditional way. And you can choose from fifteen tasty variants, at Fantaste...

A hearty and savory Chinese dish in a bowl, Fantaste offers the traditional claypot rice in a modern and casual setting at the heart of Makati's Salcedo Village. Using a clay pot, rice is cooked and individually topped with a selection of flavorful ingredients for a satisfying meal. Whether you're waiting out the rains, the traffic or simply looking for a quick and satisfying meal on your lunch break, the claypot rice at Fantaste is just what you need. Now celebrating its first year anniversary, Fantaste adds four new clapot rice variants to its menu. Hungry? Read on...

Fantaste is the first authentic claypot restaurant in the metro, offering an extensive selection of sumptuous claypot rice variants. And they stick to the traditional cooking method in preparing their signature claypot rice, slow-cooked to perfection for 15 to 20 minutes. And it's definitely worth the wait.

Off to an early start? Fantaste is also the perfect spot for breakfast. Fantaste offers a wide selection of traditional and authentic Chinese breakfast staples like the hearty and comforting White Porridge (P 60) paired with their signature herbal teas like the soothing Red Jujube Longan Medlar Tea (P 120)...

...the Fried Noodles with Three Shreds (P 150)...

...and the soft Cantonese Steamed Vermicelli Roll (P 150) along with other breakfast specialties like Thin Meat Porridge with Preserved Egg (P 120), Dumplings (P 160), Glutinous Rice Chicken (P 160), Tea Egg (P 30), Deep-Fried Dough Stick (P 60) and Red Bean Shortcake (P 30) served daily from 6:30 am to 10:30 am, so don't be surprised when Fantaste is packed even in the mornings. The Cantonese Steamed Vermicelli Roll is a unique dish, resembling fresh bok choy but are in fact noodles draped in a flavorful sauce. A light drizzle of dark soy completes the flavors. As an added treat, you can enjoy their Blue Lemonade for only P 1 as part of their first year anniversary celebrations for a limited time (you can also avail of the special Fantaste Mouse Pad for every P 2,000 purchase). Then, at 10:30 am, Fantaste's famous Clay Pots are served...

The traditional Cantonese Claypot Rice is a complete all-in feast, think of it as the Cantonese version of a one-pot meal just for you. Fantaste knows their claypot rice. And they do it well. With fifteen variants to choose from, Fantaste has a claypot with your name on it. Bestsellers like the Pork Belly Stir-Fried Long Beans (P 280) combine juicy slabs of pork with beans and egg over rice...

...while the Mushroom and Chicken (P 260) offers juicy, mildly sweet flavors with the chicken and earthy notes from the mushrooms for a lighter yet equally satisfying option capped by the egg.

If you want more chicken, go for Fantaste's other bestseller, the Chicken Drumstick (P 280) draped in a thick and sweet glaze over rice.

The Eggplant with Minced Pork (P 240) features the classic combination of pork and eggplant with a sweet and savory sauce over rice. The layering of different ingredients on rice make for a hefty meal, weaving a variety of flavors all in one pot. And that's the beauty of claypot rice, where you can enjoy all the different flavors with each spoonful.

Pair your claypot rice meal with tasty sides like the Pork Stomach with Chicken Soup (P 150) and the sour, mildly spicy Black Fungus (P 30) topped with fresh chili. Other comforting soup and cold side dish options include the Coconut with Chicken Soup (P 150), Duck Soup (P 150), Sauce Radish (P 20) and Kelp Silk (P 20).

For the first year anniversary of Fantaste, four new claypot variants are rolled out for even more tasty options...

...starting with the Braised Beef Brisket (P 340) with fork-tender beef and melt-in-your-mouth tendon for a solid beefy punch. The egg and and the sauce of the beef combine for a savory richness, tempered by the bright notes of the fresh spring onions. This is easily one of my personal favorites at Fantaste.

For those looking for a seafood option, the Stir-Fried Squid with Soy Sauce (P 320) should do the trick. The light, clean and briny notes of the succulent squid comes through with each bite complemented by vegetables. But there's more...

...Fantaste's other new claypot rice variants include the Spare Ribs with Black Bean Sauce (P 320) with its delectable salty notes and Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables (P 320) to round out an impressive roster of fifteen savory Clay Pot Rice variants. Depending on your mood and craving, you'll find other options too...

At Fantaste, diners can choose from a wide selection of tasty clay pot rice offerings including Steamed Multiple Preserved Ham (P 300), Pot-Stewed Fowl Mixed Fried (P 340), Fried Meat with Chili (P 260), Cumin Beef (P 300), Braised Tofu (P 240), Potato Braised Pork Ribs (P 300) and Hot and Sour Chicken Giblets (P 260).
