Discover Flavor with McCormick's Flavor HQ

I was recently invited to the launch of McCormick's new Facebook App called McCormick Flavor HQ which extends to a mobile website. It's a cool Facebook App that features a wide range of recipes using McCormick's herbs and spices, from appetizer to mains, desserts, and even beverages, all in one easy to use App. Very cool.

The event also highlighted a buffet with various dishes using McCormick's herbs and spices, providing guests to experience first hand how McCormick "brings passion to flavor" in all the dishes. Nice.

McCormick's Flavor HQ App (http://apps.facebook.com/flavorhq) is easy to use, and recipes are categorized to simplify your search. Popular recipes are highlighted on the home page for quick access. You can bookmark, share with friends and even submit your own recipes. And here's the cool thing, if your recipe gets published, you get a gift pack from McCormick. Awesome.

The event also featured McCormick's extensive herbs and spices displayed at the entrance, and the subtle aromas are a sure sign of good things to come.

The variety of colors and aromas really build up your appetite. Very cool display.

Guests were served a refreshing iced tea using McCormick's Rosemary leaves, a delicious twist. Subtle flavor, soothing, perfect for the afternoon. I will be posting the recipe soon or you can simply access this surprisingly easy recipe at McCormick's Flavor HQ App.

The event was hosted by the lovely Ms.Patricia Hizon, and guests and bloggers were entertained with some pretty cool games and prizes. In one game, bloggers were drawn to participate in a 30 minute cooking contest using McCormick's herbs and spices. At that point, I tried to hide under the table since my cooking skills were limited to scrambled eggs, thankfully everyone was spared.

The buffet was great, and these Bread Spreads from McCormick were pretty good.  McCormick's Bread Spread is available in Herb Parmesan, Pesto and Garlic flavors.

Good food. Good times...

And to end the afternoon, we sampled McCormick's Mexican Coffee. The bold coffee flavor, the richness of chocolate and a nice hint of cinnamon, nice. Nothing like a good brew to end the day. I will be posting the recipe for this soon or you can access McCormick's Flavor HQ, and discover other great recipes. It's worth the trip...

  2. Sounds like you had a good time with all the yummilicious goodies. I like to use McCormick herbs whenever i decided to prepare western food especially for my roasts but they are not that cheap over here. I find their herbs are as fresh and as natural as you can get. cheers!
