Here's What's Cookin' and Grillin' at The Kitchen in Wine Depot

Somethin's cookin'. And grillin' at Wine Depot...

The Napoleon grills are fired up in what could be the first of many exclusive dining events by Chef Philip Golding at Wine Depot along Nicanor Garcia in Makati. A selection of world-class meats on a legendary grill paired with fine wine, it really just doesn't get better than that. Read on for tasty peek...

Since it opened its very first store in 2008, Wine Depot is now one of the country's largest and leading wine retailers boasting of an impressive portfolio of award-winning wine brands from Australia, France, Italy, Argentina, Spain, Germany, Chile, South Africa, New Zealand and the US. Now with five branches in Alabang, Greenhills, SM Aura and Quezon City bannered by its flagship store in Makati, finding the wine you like is a breeze at Wine Depot.

Wine Depot also also hosts the Toast Club where members can enjoy exclusive access to special promos and events. In addition to their wine selection, Wine Depot also offers quality craft spirits and cocktail solutions as well as the family-owned Vittoria Coffee and the specialty French handcrafted tea, La Maison Du Thé (see more on the premium tea brand here on my post, Food News: Wine Depot Launches High Tea Wednesdays with La Maison Du The from way back in 2013).

And now, somethin's cookin' at Wine Depot. And grillin'. The Kitchen at Wine Depot is cooking up even more exciting things at the wine retailer's Makati store. It's also the perfect stop for a soothing tipple and a bite.

And when it comes to grilling, Wine Depot knows a thing or two about this style of cooking. That's because Wine Depot carries the full range of world-renowned gas, charcoal, electric and infrared Napoleon Grills (see more at https://www.gourmetliving.ph/) displayed at its Nicanor Garcia store...

...that's perfect for any grilling situation at home or professional applications. The wide range of grills showcase all the latest patented technology the brand is known for including its unique and exclusive infrared grilling feature.

Gas, charcoal, electric or infrared, you'll find the perfect Napoleon Grill just for you at the Wine Depot store along Nicanor Garcia. Visit their store and choose from a wide selection of specialty grills by Napoleon and why not have some wine? Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Napoleon Grill from the Rogue Series is prepped for the evening's dinner at the garden.

Chef Daniel Aira, a recent Institut Culinaire Disciples Escoffier (ICDE) graduate from the Center of Culinary Arts Manila (CCA ) shared the evening's selection for the grill...

...including the J. Creek Wagyu MB3 Double Gold Tenderloin, Westholme Wagyu Prime Bone In MB5 Ribeye, Lamb Burgers, Pork Bangers, Italian Sausages and Spicy Sorisso Italian Sausages.

The Napoleon Grill is lit and fired up...

...with Chef Philip John Golding, founding chairman of Disciples Escoffier Philippines at the helm...

...assisted by Chef Daniel Aira. In just a few minutes, the savory aroma of the steaks and sausages gently fills the wide-open garden area at Wine Depot.

Grilling with the Napoleon offers a cleaner experience using gas and infrared instead of charcoal...

...yet still delivering on the smoky notes we all love in a barbecue feast. The modern grill lets you enjoy the rich flavors without the smoke sticking to your clothes from the usual charcoal grills. Now that's cool.

The evening's dinner becomes a theater-like performance with the sight, sound and aroma from the grill teasing the senses.

A few more minutes and the grill weaves its finishing touches on the selection of premium sausages and steaks with a delicate charred finish...

...with both heat and smoke adding its own layers of distinct notes.

The transfer of knowledge is an integral part of the Disciples Escoffier philosophy, and Chef Philip John Golding takes on the mission with Chef Daniel Aira at the grill. Watching the master and apprentice at work becomes part of the unique dining experience at the garden of Wine Depot.

Meanwhile, Chef Philip John Golding preps a refreshing starter before the main course...

...with a garden fresh and crisp salad dressed with a tart vinaigrette.

Back at the Napoleon Grill, Chef Daniel Aira works on the sausages and steaks...

...constantly monitoring the temperature while tempering the play of fire, smoke and heat.

A few more minutes on the grill...

...and the sausages and juicy lamb burger patties are ready to serve.

From the Napoleon Grill to the chopping board...

...guests at the exclusive dinner enjoyed savory bites of Pork Bangers, Italian Sausages, Spicy Sorisso Italian Sausages and Lamb Burgers. Perfectly grilled, the Napoleon Grill does an impressive job in delivering clean savory flavors with subtle smoky hints.

Next, the J. Creek Wagyu MB3 Double Gold Tenderloin is carved up in strips after resting. The savory and beefy notes drapes the palate with its richness, perfectly paired with a deep full-bodied red. Fork tender and seasoned with salt and pepper, keeping it simple lets you enjoy all the beefy flavors with each bite.

Fresh off the grill and served in a garden setting, the casual and intimate dinner at Wine Depot becomes a memorable evening of good food, good wine and great company. If you're planning a private al fresco steak and wine dinner, the garden at Wine Depot may be just what you're looking for. Just give them a call (see contact details below).

Chef Philip John Golding then prepares the potatoes for the last steak course assisted by Chef Daniel Aira...

Like butter. The Westholme Prime Wagyu Bone-In MB5 Ribeye on potatoes just melts in your mouth with its buttery texture. Simply seasoned with just a drizzle of olive oil and topped with microgreens, each bite delivers a flavorful burst of beefy richness. It's the fitting finale for an epic steak dinner at the garden of Wine Depot.

A special selection of Spanish wines were served that evening, including bold reds...

...and refreshingly crisp whites to complete a sumptuous barbecue feast.

Fresh strawberries with silky smooth ice cream drizzled with sweet and dark balsamic vinegar caps our festive barbecue feast at the garden of Wine Depot. And this is just the first of many special dinners by Chefs Philip John Golding and Daniel Aira at Wine Depot, with more scheduled in the pipeline.

There's more to just wine at Wine Depot, but at the core of the store's experience is the simple pleasure with a glass of fine wine. Now you can enjoy some tasty bites with your glass of wine at Wine Depot.

Here's a toast to a successful dinner with good food, good wine and great company. Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming dinner events by Chef Philip John Golding at Wine Depot...
