Now with eight branches in the metro including Uptown Mall, Venice Grand Canal Mall McKinley, Alabang Town Center, UP Town Center, My South Hall, Robinsons Magnolia, Trinoma and a newly opened branch in Shangri-La Plaza Mall, your favorite seafood restaurant is back with tempting new dishes to satisfy all your seafood cravings in one place. Fish & Co., the enduring casual family restaurant chain from The Bistro Group known for its succulent seafood dishes served in a pan unveils their freshest catch yet for all you seafood lovers. Read on for a sneak preview of what's new at Fish & Co. at their newest location in Shangri-La Plaza Mall...

At the newest branch of the popular seafood chain, the modern yet casual setting makes Fish & Co. the perfect spot for family and friends with a shared love for everything seafood. As they say at Fish & Co., "one bite and you're hooked" and the new dishes continue this long tradition of tasty and satisfying seafood dishes.

For more than a decade, Fish & Co. has seafood lovers and loyal diners alike hooked on classic renditions of popular seafood dishes. The secret behind the brand's continued success and longevity? Keeping it simple and fresh for real and comforting flavors (for more on Fish & Co., see my previous posts The Bistro Group Food Crawl at Robinsons Magnolia Part 3: Hook, Line and Sinker and good Company at Fish & Co. from the epic food crawl early this year and In Good Company at Fish & Co. on my first time way back in 2013).

Prefer your seafood feast outdoors? No problem. The newest branch of Fish & Co. at Shangri-La Plaza Mall has a cool al fresco dining area.

But first, some soothing libations. Fish & Co. offers a refreshing selection of freshly squeezed and blended beverages like this thirst-quenching Healthy Hearty Squeeze (P 235) made with melon, mango and carrots...

...or the zesty Citrus Herb Surprise (P 195), a lemonade with fresh basil and calamansi. Other equally refreshing options include the Jungle Freeze (P 205) with its unique blend of pineapple and rambutan, Fresh Lemonade (P 165) and Ripe Mango Shake (P 235). A few more sips and you're ready for your first course at Fish & Co.

You can opt for a traditional salad or change up your salad game with the new Shrimp Pasta Salad (P 595), an inventive dish with succulent shrimps, iceberg lettuce, red frisee or endives, cilantro, crab sticks, cherry tomatoes, white and black sesame on soft yet firm spaghetti noodles draped in nutty sesame dressing and Japanese mayo. An unusual yet totally refreshing combination, the chilled spaghetti noodles coated with the sesame dressing and Japanese mayo just works. Add some shrimps, crab sticks, garden-fresh greens and vegetables to the mix and you have a salad unlike any other. Loyal fans of Fish & Co. may recognize this unique salad dish from years back, and it's return to the menu is reason enough for a visit.

Fish & Co. also has other new options on the menu like the Shrimp Wrap with Vermicelli (P 695) and the Summer Salad (P 495) with walnuts, cucumber, peaches and Parmesan drizzled with a honey balsamic vinaigrette.

The new Mussels with Garlic Lemon Butter Sauce (P 445) is a classic seafood combo made better with its indulgently rich and nutty sauce perfectly complementing the fresh, clean and briny sweetness of the plump mussels. Garlic, butter, and lemon just pair so well with a variety of seafood all the time, and this dish just seals the deal. And once you start, well you know the rest...

The new Mussels with Garlic Lemon Butter Sauce and Shrimp Pasta Salad are excellent starters to your all seafood feast at Fish & Co. Now it's time for your mains. No dining experience at Fish & Co. is complete without their specialty Fish & Chips dubbed as "the best in town." And you just can't go wrong with their Fish & Chips...

The Best Fish & Chips in Town (P 365/P 575) is probably the quintessential Fish & Co. dining experience. Why? Delicately handcrafted, dipped into the restaurant's famed and proprietary batter and fried to perfection, the aptly named Best Fish & Chips in Town with its golden brown fillets and light, airy crispness on the outside over soft, moist and tender fish is still as good as the first time I've tried it so many years ago. Served with their creamy sauces, you can go traditional with Malt Vinegar for that timeless pairing.

But Fish & Co. is adding some flavorful twists to their signature dish like the new Nori Fish & Chips (P 425/P595) topped with nori sheets and served with a special Japanese-inspired sauce.

The nori sheets add subtle briny notes to the crisp battered fillets with the special sauce completing the Japanese touch. It's a flavorful twist to the usual, yet comfortingly familiar. The side of coleslaw completes the dish.

If you're feeling adventurous, go all out with the new Sambal Fish & Chips (P 425/P 595) with that extra kick from the spicy sambal. It isn't lip-numbing spicy, but you do get a lingering yet soothing heat adding a flavorful depth to your crisp battered fillet. It's an interesting play on flavors, pairing well with the textures and fresh notes of the fish.

Anchored by their original Fish & Chips, it's interesting to see how Fish & Co. continues to adapt, evolve and build creative new flavors with their innovative renditions of the British classic like their New York Fish & Chips (P 395/P 595) stuffed with Parmesan cheese, the Philadelphia Fish & Chips (P 395/P 595) stuffed with cream cheese and the Swiss Fish & Chips (P 395/P 595) with Mozarella Oregano cheese. Both the Nori Fish & Chips and Sambal Fish & Chips are welcome additions to the roster.

That day, Fish & Co. presented three new savory seafood dishes as well led by the Salmon in Pepper Cream Sauce with tender, flaky and melt-in-your-mouth salmon fillet, bell peppers, corn and water spinach slathered in a creamy sauce. The sauce complements the richness of the salmon for an indulgent finish with a fresh squeeze of lemon and water spinach adding even more layers of flavors to the elegant dish...

...while the Lapu-Lapu Fillet in Curry Sauce with potatoes, carrots and curry leaf simmered in a thick coconut cream enriched curry sauce delivers bolder flavors without overpowering the delicate notes of the fish. Both new dishes offer their own unique notes inspired from opposite ends of the world's flavor spectrum with western and eastern styles.

Cajun flavors are the inspiration for the third new seafood dish, the New Orleans Chicken & Seafood with tender chicken, a medley of seafood including shrimps, clams, mussels and dory fillet, andouille sausage and corn simmered in a rich mildly spicy sauce. It's a hearty dish best paired with steamed white rice for a comforting meal.

From new starters and salads to inventive fish & chips creations and savory seafood dishes, the menu additions at Fish & Co. are just some of the many reasons to visit and satisfy your seafood cravings. Like they say at Fish & Co., one bite and you're hooked. Find your new favorite and hook-up with your usual go-to dishes made with the freshest catch. Only at Fish & Co.
