Taco Time at B&T Mexican Kitchen

I've been hearing so much about this Mexican joint, B&T Mexican Kitchen, and decided to give it a go one weekend afternoon. Many years ago, options for real Mexican food were limited, but there seems to be a surge in this cuisine with the emergence of new specialty joints serving quality Mexican fare. It's a good sign that finally, we are getting it right.

The Carne Asada Soft Tacos

The Carne Asada was tender and juicy, blending well with the Monterey Jack Cheddar, jalapenos,  and vegetables. Overall, great tacos worthy of a second visit. And a third...
Chicken Taco Salad. Fun to eat everything, including the taco "salad bowl".
Flautas with Lengua Chile Verde, excellent flavors with some heat. Nice!
The Mexican Salad, healthy and filling.
B&T also serves "Fusion" Burritos, with Japanese (with wasabi added), Korean (with kimchi), Malaysian and Thai versions. They also have their own take on a Mexican-style pizza using the flour tortilla as the basic crust and Mexican-inspired burgers. The selections are pretty extensive, from Tex-Mex to Fusion, all in all, a pretty interesting mix all in one place.

After so much shared history with Spain and the Manila-Acapulco Galleon Trade, one would think we'd get real good Mexican food centuries ago, but like they say, better late than never. Now I'm deciding what to try next at B&T Mexican Kitchen...just look for Philip to help you through the many choices.

B&T Mexican Kitchen is located at 368 Sekai Center, Ortigas corner Madison St., Greenhills. You may also give them a call at 975-1850 or 477-7488.

Dude for Food is now on Facebook, check out the FB Page for regular updates on good eats. Better yet, click "Like" and enjoy the ride...just look for the FB "Like" widget on the right sidebar.
