Everyone has a tried and tested game plan at the buffet for a taste of everything on the spread. Some follow a minimum number of plates formula to get the most bang for the buck, say at least a random number like seven plates from starters to mains and desserts. Others simply go all-out with a stop at each station. For some, a more strategic approach focusing on high-ticket items or simply the food they love is the priority. But no matter how many times you've planned the scenario in your head, it's not easy to stick to the game plan with all the tempting stations and offerings at Seven Corners Restaurant. You'll just have to improvise on the fly and go beyond your seven plates...
Seven Corners Restaurant at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria has to be one of the best kept secrets in the busy Ortigas area with its impressive spread of tasty buffet offerings. What was just supposed to be another ordinary weekday turned out to be an epic and memorable feast at Seven Corners Restaurant. And yes, it was one feast that went beyond seven plates. And counting...
Located at Level 3 of Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, the all-day dining and buffet restaurant features an efficiently designed and streamlined layout with many of the stations within just a few steps (for more on Seven Corners Restaurant, see my previous post Likha: Taste of Philippine Heritage & Fashion at Crowne Plaza Manila's Seven Corners Buffet Restaurant from 2018). Aptly named, Seven Corners Restaurant brings both international and local cuisine in a casual and relaxed setting at the heart of the Ortigas CBD.

Say cheese. That day, my first stop at the Italian Station yielded a full plate of gourmet cheeses, premium charcuterie and nuts to start my feast at Seven Corners Restaurant. The Italian Station also offers a variety of pizza renditions fresh off the oven along with an array of comforting pasta dishes prepared a la minute and served to your table.
Salad days. For the second plate, garden fresh and crisp Romaine and Arugula dressed in creamy Ranch topped with olives, pickled shallots and tomatoes opened up the palate with its clean yet indulgent notes. That's right, we'll be eating a lot more salads this year and beyond for a healthier and balanced diet.
The feast continues with a pair of savory salads with the succulent Seafood and Celery Salad with its medley of the day's fresh catch like squid, shrimps, fish and mussels and the spicy Thai Beef Salad with tender slabs of beef, chilies and peppers. The freshness and quality of ingredients are evident right from the first plate, and Seven Corners Restaurant ensures each trip back to the different stations brings the same consistent quality.
Seeing seafood. At the Japanese Station, sushi and sashimi are always a top pick even mandatory in any buffet experience. The fourth plate loaded with slabs of fresh tuna and salmon with sides of pickled ginger and seaweed offers a refreshing change of pace with its pure and uncluttered briny sweetness.
While at the Japanese Station, a replenishment of Ebi and Vegetable Tempura was the cue for that fifth plate. Light and delicately crisp, each bite releases a flavorful burst of briny sweetness from the succulent shrimps.
The day's fresh catch. Not to be missed is the Fresh Seafood Station at Seven Corners Restaurant with its bountiful catch of plump shrimps and mussels...
...leading to your sixth plate with shrimps and mussels lightly sautéed in butter and garlic. You know its fresh when the shell comes clean off the shrimps.
The flavors of the world in one place. At Seven Corners Restaurant, you'll find the world's cuisines represented at the different stations...
...but it's the slab of premium beef that catches your eye...
...for that seventh plate of tender Ribeye grilled to medium rare with a juicy pink center paired with crisp Potato Wedges and a variety of sauces and gravy to complete the dish.
You've hit the quota of seven dishes, but you can't help but pick up another plate for the crisp and juicy slabs of Lechon Belly. No question, you just have to get this at Seven Corners Restaurant.
Why? One bite and you'll be glad you did.
For dessert, Seven Corners Restaurant offers a tempting selection of pastries and cakes along with this impressive White and Milk Chocolate Fountain and fresh fruits. There's also a separate Puto Bumbong and Bibingka Station just for the holiday season for that nostalgic vibe.
A bowl of do-it-yourself Halo-Halo with shaved ice and milk topped with ube and leche flan completes your buffet dining experience at Seven Corners Restaurant.
A good game plan perfectly executed, give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done. Even without counting plates, you know you had a taste of everything at Seven Corners Restaurant. And that's the point, right? The buffet set-up at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria allows you to easily implement your game plan with its easy to navigate layout. And the buffet selection pretty much covers all the bases. A cup of freshly brewed coffee rounds up a sumptuous feast at Seven Corners Restaurant in Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.
