It was an evening of strengthening bonds and building new connections over sumptuous salads, refreshing local artisan beers and mouthwatering savory bagels. The fourth CCA Show Kitchen Mixer for the month of November began as it always did. With a whole lot of good vibes and then some...

The
CCA Show Kitchen monthly mixer series aims to create opportunities for building community and industry relationships as well as showcase
CCA Manila programs and initiatives while aligning partners for collaborations. The monthly mixers not only strengthens supplier and partnership engagement but also opens up opportunities for internship and employment pathways for
CCA Manila students. For the fourth edition of the monthly mixer series,
CCA Manila Culinary Director Philip John Golding is joined by
Chef Aaron Lau of
EAPPOC Pizza and
Booya Bagels (for more on Booya Bagels, see my posts
Booya Bagels Hits The Mainstream With The Formal Opening Of Its Glorietta 3 Branch from last year and
BGC Got Bagels: Booya Bagels Opens Second Store in Serendra from early this year).

The monthly mixer series at the CCA Show Kitchen led by CCA Manila Culinary Director Philip John Golding also highlights the impressive features of the facilities as a relaxed yet purposeful environment and setting aligned with the institution's mission to elevate culinary education and industry partnerships.
At the monthly mixer series, CCA Manila students gain real world experience as well as meet key industry leaders. Exposure and experience remain key in furthering skill sets, and CCA Manila students get to sharpen and hone their talents at the monthly mixers.
Inside the massive kitchen with impressive rows of fully-equipped work stations, students prepare for the evening's sumptuous offerings...
...as more guests arrived for the November edition of the monthly mixer series.
In one of the work stations, Chef Aaron Lau shares his culinary knowledge with the students...

At the Salad Station, a culinary student prepares a cool DIY set-up with a variety of fresh vegetables from Future Fresh and dressings where guests can create and customize their own bowls with the day's fresh garden harvest.
Chef Philip John Golding's flavorful repertoire of fresh salad dressings brings layers of vibrant notes to each bowl...
...as the students served their own savory offerings like country ham and cheese sandwiches...
...and intricate and delicately crisp Vol-Au-Vent paired with a side salad.
Chef Aaron Lau served his rustic Ratatouille, a classic French Provencal vegetable stew adding even more fresh flavors to the evening's feast.
Owner and distiller of the north's Sagada Cellar Door, Andrew Chinaplan shared his artisan small batch rum and gin made with indigenous herbs and botanicals from the Mountain Province...
...while Alcalde Brewery offered its signature brews. These are exciting times for local craft beer and spirits.
Proudly homegrown and local, Alcalde Brewery is one more reason why the craft beer sector continues to buzz with excitement as new brewed expressions add to a growing list of tempting options.
Then, there's the "bangin' NY Style" bagels from Booya Bagels by Chef Aaron Lau...
...bringing its own flavorful vibe to the monthly mixer. As each bite is enjoyed, bonds are strengthened and new relationships and alliances are established in a growing community with a shared goal.
Beer, bagels and salads, good company and a whole lot of good vibes. See you at the next monthly mixer at the CCA Show Kitchen...
