Konbini Store's Pita Burger

Here's a refreshing twist on the classic burger from Konbini, using quality in-house ingredients for an amazing burger. Premium beef patties stuffed into Pita bread, sounds awesome. Fill it with a tangy chili meat sauce, fresh tomatoes, coleslaw and a creamy garlic mayo dressing, and you have another classic.

Konbini Store's Pita Pan Burger (P 180 Dine-In, P 195 Take-Out), comes with two pieces of Pita stuffed with a burger patty, fresh tomato, chili meat sauce and coleslaw.

One bite, and you have an explosion of flavors, with the smoky grilled beef patty enhanced by the creamy garlic mayo, the sweet coleslaw and the sharp chili meat sauce.

And the Pita absorbs all these without falling apart. Though it's always best to eat it at the venue, my take-out still tasted pretty good after a half hour on the road.

The beef patty was just slightly overcooked, but not bad. Konbini also sells the patties at P 220 for four patties. Cooked just right, the patties can be tender and juicy.

Nice twist on the burger. Konbini's Pita Pan sandwiches are also available in Chicken Yakitori and Beef Yakiniku. More on the Beef Yakiniku in a future post.

Konbini Store is located at 57 Connecticut Street, Northeast Greenhills, San Juan or call 722-4263 for  details on other branch locations.

  1. Sometimes I am so not in the mood for that thick hamburger bun and this look like just the ticket-use a pita. The burger does look very tempting, wish I was by that store-yum!
