Crisp and crunchy outside and juicy inside, who doesn't love savory fried meals? Now you can easily upgrade all your favorite fried dishes at home with Quaker Oats...

The quarantine experience of the last three years allowed many of us to spend more time in the home kitchen, and getting creative with new dishes helped us all get through another long day in the new normal. Often, the simplest meals prepared at home like fried dishes were the most satisfying. But did you know you can make fried food so much healthier and flavorful? Yes you can, with Quaker Oats...

Your health is your first line of defense in this difficult new normal, and it all begins right in your own kitchen. We all know that natural whole grain rolled oats are good for you, but you probably didn't know you can create sumptuous dishes with Quaker Oats (for more creative recipes using Quaker Whole Grain Rolled Oats, see my previous post, Dining in the Next Normal: A Healthy Diet is Your First Line of Defense in the New Normal with Quaker Oats and #QuakerStrongRecipes featuring the indulgent yet healthy Quaker Oats Cream Pie recipe). Popular home dining staples like fried chicken, pork chops and hash browns are transformed using rolled oats...

...with Oats-Coated Fried Chicken, Oat Crusted Pork Chops and Tuna Oats Hash Browns. And the numbers do stack up. With Quaker Whole Grain Rolled Oats, you can enjoy up to 7x more fiber and 1.7x more protein versus white rice plus, it contains Beta-Glucan to help lower cholesterol with the proper diet and exercise.

And for a novice cook like me, the recipes from Quaker Oats were quick and easy. Ready to start cookin' with Quaker Oats?

Today's lunch is the all-time home dining classic, pork chops. But you can easily upgrade it with the Oat Crusted Pork Chop recipe using Quaker Oats. Simply lay out the ingredients listed from the recipe (see full recipe below) and you're ready for a leveled-up version that's rich in flavor and good for you too.

And after just a few minutes of prep and frying, the Oat Crusted Pork Chops are ready to serve. The addition of ground oats and toasted whole grain rolled oats to the breading brings subtle nutty notes to the juicy pork as well as textural contrast for some of the best-tasting pork chops. And the best part? It's easy and simple to prepare.

Adding Quaker Oats to some of your favorite fried meals at home totally transforms the dish while adding a healthy dose of fiber and protein to your diet. And the flavors are also enhanced for a win-win situation.

Now, it's your turn to create the Oat Crusted Pork Chops...

Divide 1 cup of Quaker Rolled Oats in two. Grind half of the oats using a blender, food processor or a grinder. Toast the other half of whole grain oats in a pan. Finally, mix together ground oats and whole grain oats.

Season pork chop with 1/4 tsp of salt. Create crumb mixture with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried Italian seasoning and pepper. Beat egg and put in a separate bowl. Dip the pork into the egg crumb mixture and let rest.

Pour 1/4 cup of oil and heat frying pan over medium. Add the chops and fry 3-4 minutes on each side.
