Time to raise a toast with your stein. Seasonal Oktoberfest beers, savory Bavarian specialties, pretzels and lively weekend games, it's Oktoberfest at Brotzeit...
The only authentic German beer garden and restaurant in the metro for over twelve years, Brotzeit brings the festive Bavarian tradition to Manila once more with this year's edition of Oktoberfest 2025. Starting September 7 to November 10, 2025, Brotzeit branches in BGC, Alabang West Parade and The Podium will be displaying the colors of the world's largest volksfest or folk festival along with its full repertoire of Bavarian beers including special seasonal brews, sumptuous and traditional cuisine plus new dishes and entertaining weekend games honoring the annual celebration. Ready for Oktoberfest at Brotzeit? Then, read on...
Bring out the steins, Brotzeit is serving up good times for Oktoberfest. A much anticipated annual tradition at Brotzeit since it opened way back in 2013, this year's Oktoberfest pulls all the stops for another festive and memorable Bavarian celebration (for more on previous Oktoberfest celebrations at Brotzeit through the years, see my posts The Whole Nine Yards: Brotzeit Philippines Celebrates Nine Long Years In The Country With The Longest Oktoberfest Season from 2022, ECQ Eats: A Toast To Oktoberfest In The New Normal At Brotzeit from 2021, Prost! Cheers To Endless Rounds Of Good Vibes, It's Oktoberfest At Brotzeit! from 2019 and Oktoberfest At Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant from way back 2013). Like past celebrations, Brotzeit will be offering its seasonal brews with the Weihenstephaner Festbier and Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier brewed only once a year specifically for Oktoberfest and served in commemorative steins. Both Weihenstephaner and Paulaner strictly adhere to the 500 year-old Beer Purity Law using only water, barley, hops and yeast in keeping with tradition.
The month-long celebrations includes special dates for exclusive events starting with Brotzeit Oktoberfest 2025 at The Podium on September 20, 6pm at the new Brotzeit branch in Podium Hall. Billed as the biggest celebration by Brotzeit yet hosted by DJ Tony Toni, guests can enjoy free flowing premium beer, mouthwatering German cuisine, live performances by Anton Showband, exciting games, prizes, a Brotzeit special edition mug and so much more. Event passes are priced at P 3,600 (be sure to inquire about their group discounts) for an evening of beer, bites & beats starting at 6pm.
Brotzeit will also be hosting Signature Branch Parties (no admission charge, reservations required) at BGC on September 26, Alabang West Parade on September 27 (more on the branch down south of the metro on my post #BeercationAtBrotzeit: Raise A Toast Up High Down South At The Newest Location of Brotzeit In Alabang West Parade from 2022) and The Podium on September 28 (more on the newest branch at The Podium, see my post Prost! Raise A Roast To The New Home Of Brotzeit At The Podium from early this year). You can visit https://brotzeit.ph/oktoberfest-2025/ for more details and information.
Now for a cold one fresh off the tap. You can't go wrong with the Weihenstephan Original Hell, a refreshingly smooth and crisp light brew with sharp yet rounded hoppy notes to tease the palate. But I've always favored the dark Weihenstephan Traditional Bayrisch Dunkel with its subtle sweet caramel notes and fruity hints followed by a bold yet delectable bitter finish for a soothing flavorful balance with each sip.
In addition to their impressive selection of traditional Bavarian brews, Brotzeit also offers a unique line of beer-based beverages blended with gin. vodka, soda, cola or juices for light libations like the lager Apfelbier with apple juice...
...and Mango Bier, a Weissbier with mango juice for a refreshing change of pace.
It's not a proper Oktoberfest celebration without a hearty feast, and Brotzeit has a tempting array of new dishes for the festive table...
...fresh off the kitchen helmed by Chef Ivan Maminta. Through the years, Brotzeit built its solid culinary reputation on authentic Bavarian staples from their line of specialty Sausages to Veal Schnitzel (probably the best in the metro) and Schweinshaxn or crispy pork knuckles. This Oktoberfest 2025, Brotzeit is introducing new dishes to complete the celebration.
Start with the classic Brezn (P 140) or Bavarian Pretzel or go for the Überbackene "Flammkuchen" Brezn (P 180), a caramelized onion and cheese gratinated brezn with bacon and caraway seeds served with mustard for rich yet comforting flavors before the main courses. Best paired with a cold brew, in true Brotzeit fashion (Brotzeit literally means "bread time").
Next, fried chicken Bavarian style with the Wiesen Hendle (P 520). The comforting dish with delectably crisp and juicy marinated leg quarters paired with potato cucumber salad and cranberry sauce brings familiar notes to the palate hitting home right from the very first bite.
The richly seasoned yet clean flavors of the fried chicken are perfectly kicked up by the sweet and tart cranberry sauce for that contrasting finish. The side of potato cucumber salad completes the dish.
The Regensburger Bierwurst (P 480) offers traditional Bavarian flavors on a plate with smoked pork and beef sausages, bacon sauerkraut and mashed potatoes paired with a trio of dips. The juicy sausages with that fresh and succulent snap delivers a flavorful burst of flavor perfectly complemented by the bacon sauerkraut and mashed potatoes for a complete meal in itself...
...calling for yet another round of beer. It's Oktoberfest at Brotzeit, so keep the cold brews coming.
And the sausages and pork belly too. The Metzger Pfanne (P 780) with pork belly, Regensburger Sausage, bacon sauerkraut, napkin dumplings and onion sauce is an impressive combo...
...that just hits the spot for an Oktoberfest feast. The savory trifecta of pork belly, sausage and bacon is completed by the onion sauce, bacon sauerkraut and napkin dumplings for a place on the Oktoberfest table at Brotzeit. You can also go for the timeless Bayrische Weisswurst (P 390), fat pale light-colored pork and veal sausages in a light broth served with a pretzel for another taste of Bavarian tradition.
The Knusprige Schweinbauch (P 950) is a showstopper of a dish with crispy roasted pork belly, sauerkraut, napkin dumplings and whole grain mustard gravy. Each bite of the tender, juicy and crisp slabs of pork with its thin layer of crackling for that contrasting finish drapes the palate with a lingering richness tempered by the subtle sharpness of the whole grain mustard gravy and sauerkraut. Let's have another round of cold brews, shall we?
The Zwiebelrostbraten (P 1,650) is another savory rendition this time with fork-tender Black Angus Beef Striploin slathered in red wine onion sauce topped with fried onions and roast potatoes and bacon-wrapped beans on the side. The beefy richness of the striploin comes through with its bold and hearty notes completed by the rich sauce and sides.
From pretzels to fried chicken, pork, beef and sausages from the new menu, Brotzeit has just the right dish to pair with your ice-cold brew in addition with their all-time bestsellers for Oktoberfest 2025. But wait, there's more from the kitchen...
The Oktoberfest 2025 Wiesen Platte (P 3,850) is the ultimate expression of beer and bites for the beloved annual tradition and folk festival. Imagine a large wooden board with the popular and bestselling Schweinshaxn or signature crispy pork knuckle, crispy roasted pork belly, golden fried chicken leg quarter, Regensburger Bierwurst, Thüringer Snail Sausage, potato cucumber salad, crisp onions and sauerkraut. That's almost the entire menu on a wooden board, and the perfect option with a large group just for Oktoberfest 2025.
Through the years, I've seen countless renditions of the grand Wiesen Platte at Brotzeit and it continues to amaze and impress. The Octoberfest 2025 Wiesen Platte is a proper homage to Bavarian tradition for an epic feast with each component the perfect bite to pair with your favorite beer at Brotzeit.
Since Brotzeit opened way back in 2013, it's been a part of my own food blog's journey with countless memorable stories, plates and boards loaded with lavish savory creations and even more mugs of ice-cold brews. And through the years, a deep connection with the brand continues to make each visit special. The folks at Brotzeit call it "Gemütlichkeit," that unmistakable and distinctive warm and friendly feeling you get when the place just feels right. This Oktoberfest, Brotzeit continues to be the right place to celebrate the world's largest folk festival since 2013. So book your event passes for a table at Brotzeit this September 20 at The Podium. And come thirsty. And hungry too...
