Original King. Red King. Green King. Black King. All your favorite ramen...
...and now you can enjoy it all at Ramen Nagi's newest branch in Robinsons Galleria. With its spacious and open layout, Ramen Nagi is a welcome addition to the newly renovated wing of Robinsons Galleria. It's the perfect spot for your favorite ramen...
Recently opened last December, Ramen Nagi's newest branch at Robinsons Galleria (L) offers yet another option for their loyal customer base craving for their signature bowls of customized ramen. Spotted at the new branch is Ramen Nagi's company president, founder, and ramen master, Chef Ikuta Satoshi (R)...
Chef Ikuta Satoshi first opened his restaurant back in 2006 in Fukuoka, Japan, and quickly earned a reputation for his customized ramen, and the first in the world to offer a different type of ramen everyday for 365 days of the year. This tradition is kept alive with Ramen Nagi's seasonal ramen creations, the Limited Edition Ramen (for more on Ramen Nagi's limited edition ramen creations, see my previous post, A Spicy Encounter with Ramen Nagi's Nagoya King).
What started as a tiny restaurant with its limited dining space in Fukuoka has since grown to become one of Japan's well-known ramen establishments with branches outside Japan including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Philippines. At the open kitchen, Chef Ikuta Satoshi prepared Ramen Nagi's signature favorites...
...like the Green King or Midorio (P 410), an innovative fusion of fresh basil and olive oil with the rich and savory signature tonkotsu broth garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and tender perfectly marbled pork chasiu...
...the Original King or Butao (P 390), the traditional and award-winning tonkotsu broth prepared with pig's heads, bones, and feet and simmered for more than 20 hours in a large pot for its distinct umami richness and depth, with tender chasiu pork...
...and the Red King or Akao (P 410), with its vibrant red hues from the rich blend of garlic, chili oil, and cayenne pepper topped with miso-infused minced pork. Modern and inventive while remaining firmly rooted in tradition, Chef Ikuta Satoshi combines the best of both worlds with his ramen creations.
For me, it's the Black King or Kuroo (P 410), prepared just the way I like it with Ramen Nagi's innovative Omotenashi Sheet where customers can customize their ramen to fit individual preferences. My Black King is customized with an extra richness and a heavy dose of garlic with the regular level of special sauce for intense nutty notes, with fork-tender pork belly and green onions for balanced flavors. With the Black King's bold flavors, you don't need to boost the level of spicy heat. Tamago and seaweed completes my customized bowl of ramen, with firm yet chewy noodles for a perfect finish. You may also opt for the Chef Recommendation by marking the appropriate box.
And after a few minutes, my Black King is served, fresh from the kitchen. The fragrant aroma of garlic and green onions rises from the steaming hot bowl of ramen, and adding the seaweed and tamago sets up my customized Black King for another savory encounter at Ramen Nagi.
Topped with miso-infused minced pork, the tamago adds yet another layer of richness to the thick and savory broth. A sip of the rich broth lines your palate with the bold notes of the garlic and various spices, and you're ready for that unique Ramen Nagi experience.
Follow it up with a slice of tender pork belly as it melts in your mouth releasing a savory richness that lingers long after the first bite, then the firm noodles, and finally, the creamy tamago to round out all the flavors. Now you don't have to go far for your favorite ramen, you can simply head over to Robinsons Galleria.
Pair your ramen with Ramen Nagi's signature side dishes, like the Gyoza (P 220), soft pork dumplings with a lightly seared top layer laid on crisp bean sprouts and served on a hot cast-iron plate...
...or why not go for a different spin on the familiar gyoza with the Sui-Gyoza (P 200), Ramen Nagi's signature gyoza served with their famous tonkotsu broth topped with green onions in a sizzling stone bowl. The flavorful tonkotsu broth just takes the gyoza to a whole new level with its comforting richness.
But save room for dessert. The Nagi Vanilla Ice Cream (P 150) caps your ramen feast on a sweet note, and you can choose either the kid-friendly version or the adult version infused with two kinds of liquor.
For me, it's an easy choise, a no-brainer. Besides, ice cream with just a whisper of liquor is my kind of dessert.
Add one more location for your favorite ramen, right here at Robinsons Magnolia.
When that sudden craving for your favorite ramen hits you, the Ramen Man Group of Ramen Nagi are ready to serve your favorite Original King, Red King, Green King, and Black King at their newest location in Robinsons Galleria.
