A soothing freshly brewed Cafe Latte opens up the palate...
...as breakfast is served at Villa Caemilla. Bring your appetite to the breakfast table as you'll soon find out why the All-Day Breakfast menu makes Vila Caemilla one of the island's recommended dining destinations.
The VC Beef Tapa (P 325) with spring onion rice and sunny side-up is the property's own elegant take on the popular local breakfast staple topped with fork-tender strips of savory beef. It's a meal that can be enjoyed any time of day, all day at Villa Caemilla.

But it's the creatively inventive Longganisa Tonkatsu (P 325) served with spring onion rice, pickled atchara and two eggs that hits the spot for me. Who would've thought the local sausage would work so well as a breaded and deep-fried savory breakfast?
The ubiquitous local longganisa is transformed by the kitchen of Villa Caemilla for a surprisingly new flavor and textural experience. The savory richness and mildly sweet finish of the local sausage provides the flavorful base of this unique creation while the delicately crisp Japanese style panko breading just magically elevates the local staple for a refreshing new breakfast experience.
That layer of crunchy textures followed by a flavorful savory burst combine for one of those memorable breakfasts you won't easily forget in Boracay. In one inspired stroke of culinary genius, an everyday local staple is masterfully reconstructed delivering familiar and flavorful notes with a crunchy finish pairing well with the spring onion rice and eggs. Breakfast? Make it the Longganisa Tonkatsu at Villa Caemilla.
Since 2014, Villa Caemilla has been home to countless memories for so many visitors. Wesley van der Voort, General Manager for Villa Caemilla shared the spotlight with the dedicated team behind the boutique property resulting in prestigious accolades from the World Luxury Hotel Awards as Country Winner for 2015-2016, Regional Winner for 2017-2020 and Continent Winner for 2021. It's an impressive string of awards as Wesley van der Voort and his team continue to raise the bar at Villa Caemilla.
Like many of the island's businesses, Villa Caemilla was not spared from the sweeping pandemic. With travel restrictions and forced shutdowns enforced to curb the spread of the virus, the boutique hotel struggled during the quarantine experience. The unknown psychological aspects of the forced lockdowns also affected its employees. To address these issues, Villa Caemilla led several programs producing and distributing food and care packages for residents of the island as well as implemented mental health awareness sessions for its employees. The proactive stance of the property's management and inspired sense of community pulled Villa Caemilla through the long days of the two-year lockdown. It's stories like this that leave an indelible and enduring mark on the island's storied history.
With the reopening of the Boracay and a more positive mindset built on lessons learned from the pandemic, Villa Caemilla along with the rest of the island community is more than ready to welcome back its visitors. Wesley van der Voort, who is also the current President of the Boracay Chamber of Commerce is flanked by restaurateurs Patrick and Shria Florencio in a show of solidarity. These are the unseen stories of the island that needs to be shared and retold as Boracay rises from the quarantine experience and the challenges of a new normal that's here to stay.
As you let it all sink in, have a another cup of freshly brewed coffee...
...and enjoy paradise reopened to the world. And right in front of the serene beach is your own personal sanctuary at Villa Caemilla.
That familiar and comforting island vibe is back, smarter and more resilient as ever from the quarantine experience in a challenging new normal. While we may never go back to the usual routines of old, you'll always find a spot of your own at Villa Caemilla. And the Longganisa Tonkatsu for breakfast all day with some of the best views of the beach in an award-winning boutique property.
