Loyal customers would love to keep it that way, keeping the intriguing speakeasy all to themselves. But in today's age of social media, even a discreetly muted post combined with old-fashioned word of mouth can't keep a good thing from getting around. What can be cooler than a bar within a bar within a bar?

Located at the ground floor of Shangri-La The Fort along Pink's Manila and Pizza Sisters is one of BGC's best kept secrets. Libations await. Welcome to Hotel Bar... 

Just walk past Pizza Sisters and Pink's Manila along the ground floor of Shangri-La The Fort, and you'll find it. The absence of any visible signage adds to the mystery with only a bright red door with unassuming stenciled fonts as your clue. No secret knock or password needed, simply open the red door...

...and the hidden world of Hotel Bar is lavishly revealed. The novel speakeasy is another unique concept from the Wildflour Hospitality Group, the same group behind Pink's Manila (see more on the LA original on my earlier post Hot Dogs, Cheeseburgers and Fried Chicken Sandwiches? Think Pink's Manila...), Pizza Sisters (take a peek at their signature pizza creations on my post Taking A Bigger Slice of the Pie: Meet Pizza Sisters from The Wildflour Restaurant Group ), Farmacy and their flagship brand Wildflour. What sets Hotel Bar apart from the rest? Have a drink and take a walk deep inside the labrynth-like maze...  

...and you'll soon discover more hidden bars deep within in a strangely familiar scene straight out of Christopher Nolan's multiple layers of complex dreams. Bar-ception? The intriguing set-up with its multiple bar theme is unlike any other speakeasy. The dark interiors with its eclectic design gives each bar a distinctive character changing and challenging the usual speakeasy narrative with its inventive twist. 

Like a virtual physical palindrome of sorts, one can walk through the interiors of Hotel Bar through a short flight of steps and narrow corridors as time simply stops. The perfect sanctuary hidden from the outside world, there's just no better spot to enjoy a round of soothing libations in BGC. 

The secret space becomes your own, shared with a few friends or simply flying solo. Tapping the award-winning teams behind The Curator and EDSA BDG to train the mixologists of Hotel Bar, you can explore a wide curated and diverse range of handcrafted cocktails starting at 5:00 pm onwards. Closing times vary from 12:00 am on Wednesdays, 2:00 am on Thursdays and Sundays and 3:00 am on Fridays and Saturdays. 

Now all you have to do is pick your spot...

The multi-level interiors at Hotel Bar offers different options to plant your cocktail, with secluded spots throughout the different bars to choose from. For those days when you simply want to get up close and personal with your Old-Fashioned, Negroni or one of many specialty handcrafted cocktail creations in BGC, Hotel Bar is the spot. 

Each little nook is accentuated by interesting and even quirky pieces adding to the unique vibe of the speakeasy redefined by the Wildflour Group. Hungry? No worries. You can order up some of the iconic signature hot dogs from Pink's Manila or even the sumptuous repertoire of pizza creations fresh off the stainless steel deck ovens of Pizza Sisters.

The deep hints of bourbon, the bright citrus hints of orange bitters and a refreshing sweetness teases the palate with each sip.
