Any mention of the farm-to-table concept always leads to one dining destination down south where it just seems right. Blessed by an abundance of local produce, Tagaytay remains high up on any list for comforting flavors using local, sustainable ingredients. And Farmer's Table is one of those restaurants where you can enjoy and experience the freshest ingredients transformed into exquisite dishes by Chef Kalel Chan...

Raintree Hospitality and Chef Kalel Chan adds their creative and inventive take on the farm-to-table dining experience to Tagaytay's evolving restaurant scene with Farmer's Table with its extensive menu of Filipino and Western cuisine with a local spin. Like who else can pull off dishes like Burrata & Gourmet Tuyo Pesto Cream Linguine and the Kalderetang Osso Bucco? But having the freshest and finest local produce is one thing, executing and interpreting these ingredients into elegant and flavorful renditions is another. Let Chef Kalel Chan show you how it all comes together at Farmer's Table...

Located within the sprawling
Nurture Wellness Village,
Farmer's Table has direct access to fresh herbs and vegetables grown and harvested from the gardens. The property also houses another dining concept from
Raintree Hospitality,
My Country House Tagaytay with their "heritage classic" cuisine (for more on My Country House Tagaytay, see my post
Take Me Home To My Country House Tagaytay from 2023).
Chef Kalel Chan's approach to the cuisine at
Farmer's Table is both simple and uncomplicated yet with a few creative twists where the freshness of ingredients drive all the flavors. You can also experience
Chef Kalel Chan's inventive culinary style with his new dishes featuring
Aussie Lamb in collaboration with
Meat and Livestock Australia and
Aussie Beef and Lamb PH like the
Aussie Lamb Shank Burnt Coconut Bicol Express and the
Grilled Aussie Lamb Shoulder Ribs with Thai Basil. The
Aussie Lamb fest in participating Tagaytay restaurants runs until
March 15,
2026 (for more on the Aussie Lamb campaign, see my post
#ILoveAussieLamb: Twelve Top Chefs From Tagaytay's Finest Restaurants Celebrate The Versatility Of Aussie Lamb from last month). Start your feast at
Farmer's Table with the savory duo of
Crispy Fried Tawilis (P 365) paired with Chili Garlic Vinegar Dip...

...and the bestselling Hothouse Crispy Cauliflower & Broccoli (P 450) with Spicy Buffalo Sauce or Bleu Cheese Dip. Off the bat, Chef Kalel Chan impresses with the opening salvo of tasty starters at Farmer's Table.
Wash it all down with the refreshing Signature Pineapple Kale Smoothie (P 275-Glass/P 750-Pitcher) with curly kale from Nurture Farms and mint.
Of course, you just have to order the classic bulalo when in Tagaytay and the Bone Marrow Bulalo Soup (P 1,250) with its medley of fork-tender chunks of beef, bone marrow, Baguio beans, corn, potatoes and Napa cabbage served with fresh calamansi, patis and spicy sili labuyo just hits the spot. The rich bone broth warms the palate with its fresh and clean notes with just a whisper of sweetness from the bountiful garden harvest of vegetables. Freshness is indeed flavor, savored with each soothing sip of the broth. And don't rush, your pot of bulalo is kept warm on the burner by your tableside.

Chef Kalel Chan then teases your appetite with his own rendition of a popular local staple, the Famous Kalderetang "Osso Bucco" (P 695) with tender beef shanks simmered in the classic kaldereta sauce with bell peppers and carrots topped with malunggay basil pesto, fried potatoes, and Malagos Pecorino for a flavorful upgrade. The beef shanks add a noticeably richer and deeper flavor to the dish, further elevated by the malunggay basil pesto and Malagos Pecorino. This dish calls for extra rice.
Seafood? Farmer's Table has that covered too with dishes like the Grilled Chili Garlic Butter Blue Marlin (P 750) sprinkled with crisp garlic, fresh garden herbs and cherry tomatoes. The fresh and clean delicate notes of the blue marlin comes through perfectly complemented by the chili garlic butter sauce.
Chef Kalel Chan's playful approach to flavors shines with the Burrata & Gourmet Tuyo (P 795), a lavish pesto cream linguine with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil. The pronounced notes of the local dried fish cuts through the silky smooth and luscious richness of the burrata for that delicately refined balance.
Served by your tableside, Farmer's Table goes the extra step in presenting the all-time fave with the Sizzling Hot Tableside Crispy Sisig (P 595) with crispy pork chicharon, red onions, spicy sili and calamansi adding yet another layer to your dining experience.
You can have your pork sisig just the way you like it, extra crunchy or spiked with extra heat.
For dessert, Farmer's Table served the decadent pair of Leche Flan Turon Sundae (P 350) with ube ice cream and Chocolate Eh Sauce...
...and their Famous Ube Champorado (P 350) drizzled with coconut tres leches and topped with fried danggit. Is there any better ending to a feast of comforting local flavors? From starters to mains and desserts, Farmer's Table lets you rediscover the flavors you love down south. The freshest local ingredients, masterfully executed and transformed by one of the country's top chefs is one of many dining attractions in Tagaytay. Pick your seat at Farmer's Table, and come hungry...
