The comforting notes from the fresh and vibrant tartness of tomatoes, soft yet firm spaghetti noodles and the savory juicy meatballs with bold beefy notes never fails to warm the palate with its rustic and honest yet hearty simplicity. The uniquely Italian-American one-dish meal of spaghetti and meatballs always hits the spot. And there's one place that continues to serve it the same way since 1996...
Italiannis and its repertoire of all-time Italian-American classics remains one of the premier brands from The Bistro Group. In a constantly changing local dining scene, Italiannis has endured increasingly fickle palates and a new generation shaped by passing trends and social media with its signature dishes that continue to be popular through the years. Like the Spaghetti and Meatballs. And the fourth edition of the P 385 All Yours All Day menu featuring sumptuous meals with unbeatable value. It's time to revisit Italiannis...
At Italiannis, some traditions continue to define the brand's homestyle culinary philosophy. Like the complimentary bread service. Often overlooked and taken for granted by most diners, Italiannis has been known for its fresh baked Tuscan Bread and Focaccia served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Just like the famous soft and warm yeast Dinner Rolls of Texas Roadhouse and the Garlic Breadsticks of Olive Garden, both from The Bistro Group, Italiannis has long set the standard adding even more layers to your dining experience (for more on the all-time Italian American classics at Italiannis, see my previous posts Always Amore Di Merrier At Italiannis With New Dishes To Add To Your Growing List Of Top Picks from 2024, The Bistro Group Food Crawl At Robinsons Magnolia Part 2: At Home At Italiannis With The New Festival Of Flavors Menu from 2023, Enjoying Bistecca Al Fresco And Other Specialty Dishes At Italiannis In Robinsons Magnolia Plus A Cool Deal From Bistro Delivers from four years back, The Bistro Group Brings Italiannis To Robinsons Magnolia from 2022 and Seeing A Pair Of Old Friends At Italiannis from 2019). It's fresh bites like this that sets the palate for another flavorful encounter with a long-time classic...
Simple and uncomplicated yet so comforting, the Spaghetti and Meatballs (P 485/P 725/P 995) by Italiannis traces its origins from the first wave of Italian immigrants to America. The abundance of inexpensive ground beef allowed Italian immigrants to adapt their culinary traditions with an affordable one-dish family feast with larger meatballs, easily available canned tomato sauce and pasta. Over the years, it's become an Italian-American staple associated with family meals.
And Italiannis honors this tradition with their signature homemade meatballs and fresh, rich and thick Marinara sauce for a familiar and satisfying meal. Each bite brings all these contrasting notes and textures in a nostalgic weave reminiscent of childhood meals. That extra burst of flavorful tartness from the chunky Marinara is perfectly complemented by the juicy, savory and beefy finish of the meatballs. It's the very first dish I tried at Italiannis many years back, and it remains that one dish I keep coming back to again and again. Do you remember your first time and first dish at Italiannis?
As The Bistro Group continues to evolve and respond to a changing local dining landscape, many of their brands have adapted an innovative new menu combining flavor and real value. Italiannis brings their own creative take on value-driven options with the P 385 All Yours All Day Menu which includes a beverage, starter and entree.
Each option comes with the House Blend Iced Tea. You can also opt for the Bottomless option by adding P 50 or the Blushing Fizzy Tea with additional P 90.
Known for their signature pizza selection, the P 385 All Yours All Day Menu at Italiannis includes the Pepperoni Pizzeta, a 4" personal-sized pizza with pepperoni, cheese and tomato sauce.
The crisp crust and sharp savory notes of the pepperoni are tempered by the vibrant tartness for the tomato sauce and richness of the cheese for that balanced play on flavors. Other starter options include the Side Caesar Salad and Carrot Soup. You can also opt for the Chicken Fingers & Chips with Mustard Sauce for an additional P 50.
For the mains, I go for the Grilled Porkloin served with rice, vegetables and a vinegar dip. The subtle smoky hints from the grill adds the perfect finishing touch to the juicy and tender slabs of pork with the vinegar dip cutting through the savory richness.
It's a pretty solid meal for P 385, all in with a beverage and starter. If you prefer a homestyle option, the Pork Adobo Rice is a good pick. Other options include the Chicken Parmigiana (add P 90) or the Seafood Vegetables & Rice (add P 120).
All this for P 385. That's not a bad deal at all.
From nostalgic classics like the Spaghetti and Meatballs to the unbeatable value of the P 385 All Yours All Day Menu, the enduring brand remains at the top of any list for comforting Italian-American specialties and then some. And just like your first time at Italiannis, come hungry...
