Italianni's never fails to warm hearts and tummies with its homey vibe and classic Italian-American menu. At Robinsons Magnolia, Italianni's exudes that same comfortingly familiar atmosphere setting the stage for another memorable dining experience.
Stepping inside Italianni's always feels like home, and the enduring Italian-American restaurant has been an integral part of my own food blog's journey since my very first post back in 2012 (more on that post at Mom's Day at Italianni's from way back in 2012). Years later, Italianni's still has a special place in my own continuing journey (for more on Italianni's at Robinsons Magnolia, see my posts, The Bistro Group Brings Italianni's to Robinsons Magnolia and Enjoying Bistecca Al Fresco and Other Specialty Dishes at Italianni's in Robinsons Magnolia Plus a Cool Deal from Bistro Delivers from last year).
Everyone has a favorite dish at Italianni's. I always go back for the classic Spaghetti with Meatballs, just works all the time. A peek at the semi-open kitchen reveals the secret behind the brand's continuing success...
...with its use of the freshest premium ingredients masterfully executed with each dish. Yet it's the warm homespun feel of each dish that that makes dining at Italianni's always special. And this vibe is lavishly showcased in three new dishes...
That day at The Bistro Group Food Crawl in Robinsons Magnolia, we sampled the latest menu offerings at Italianni's dubbed Festival of Flavors highlighted by three new dishes that's perfect for sharing.
The Honey Crisp Apple Salad (P 595) with garden fresh and crisp mixed greens, Kale, sweet apples, roasted pecans and Gorgonzola drizzled with Honey Balsamic brings both textural contrasts and layers of distinct and flavorful notes with each bite. The sweetness of the apples are perfectly complemented by the fresh and clean notes of the mixed greens, the nutty flavors of the roasted pecans and the subtle sharpness of the dressing with the Gorgonzola adding depth the dish. The complex weave of both flavors and textures combine for a refreshing start to another memorable feast at Italianni's.
The delicately nuanced notes and fresh and clean flavors of the Halibut Al Cartoccio (P 1,395) delivers bursts of refined richness followed by the play of contrasting notes from the bell peppers, zucchini, olives, capers, eggplant and mild yet soothing seafood broth. Oven roasted with potatoes, the premium halibut brings a butter-like finish with its melt-in-your-mouth goodness lingering on the plate long after the last bite. Light yet full of flavor, the Halibut Al Cartoccio is the perfect choice for those looking for a seafood option.
The Braised Beef Osso Bucco (P 1,195) served with a side of Spaghetti Aglio Olio is a savory feast guaranteed to satisfy any appetite. Braised low and slow in a rich tomato and mirepoix base of diced onions, carrots and celery, each fork tender bite lays an intense savory richness on the palate with its bold and robust beefy notes elegantly smoothened by the tartness of the tomato and mirepoix base. The side of buttery Spaghetti Aglio Olio completes the dish. The new Festival of Flavors Menu can now be enjoyed at Italianni's in Robinsons Magnolia, and that's three more good reasons to plan a return visit soon.
