That day, Marriott Cafe's chefs proudly served the featured dish at the launch of Lobster Mondays at Marriott Cafe with impressive platters of Lobster Thermidor to the delight of the guests.  The signature dish added that celebratory vibe to the launch of Lobster Mondays at Marriott Cafe...


And why not. The classic French dish not only looks good, it tastes good too. Created in the 1880's by celebrated French chef August Escoffier while working in Maison Maire in Paris, the indulgent dish features a creamy mixture of cooked lobster, egg yolks, and fine brandy stuffed into a lobster shell topped with an oven-baked cheese crust. Served with cherry tomatoes, French beans and grilled corn, the iconic dish is recreated at Lobster Mondays at Marriott Cafe.

I began my lobster feast with the signature Lobster Thermidor, whole lobster stuffed with creamy cooked lobster with sharp hints of mustard and brandy capped by the rich flavors of cheese...


...followed by Garlic Lobster Flambe with the richness of butter tempered by the nutty notes of garlic...


...Baked Lobster with Cheese and Bechamel with the briny sweetness of fresh lobsters perfectly finished by the creamy bechamel sauce and sharp notes of cheese...


...and Chili Fried Lobster with its distinct spicy Asian hints. Each dish highlighted the versatility of the ocean's prized catch, with its fresh and clean flavors punching through with each bite.
