Fairmont Makati has the enviable distinction as the first to achieve Green Globe certification leading the way in sustainable hospitality. This year, the timely advocacy and commitment to sustainability is reflected with the unique Green Cocktail Workshop across various Fairmont hotels globally including Fairmont Makati. Starting April 18 to 24, guests can enjoy a variety of green cocktails at the Fairmont Lounge for a refreshing tipple while contributing to conservation efforts in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Now that's worth a toast and one more round for Earth Day...

In celebration of Earth Day, Fairmont Makati reinforces its continued commitment to sustainability with long-term programs in place to promote and drive awareness for a better planet. The partnership with WWF is one such initiative, with 100% of the proceeds from the Green Cocktail Workshop pledged to the invaluable conservation efforts of the WWF around the world. Fairmont Makati also boasts of its very own herb gardens, honey bee colonies and water bottling facility.

The green inspired libations include Tala with its blend of gin, lemon juice, cucumber basil juice, elderflower syrup and egg white garnished with cucumber and basil film for a light and easy round or two. The Urduja offers a more potent blend with lambanog, Midori, Malibu Rum, lime juice and pomelo saccharum rum while the Gabriella is another robust handcrafted cocktail with gin, green chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, lime and cucumber garnished with cucumber and amarena cherry gin. Each green cocktail offers its own set of flavors to fit any mood from the light and refreshing Tala to the bolder notes of the Urduja and Gabriella. Whatever you pick supports a worthwhile cause. 

In between soothing sips, indulge in tasty bites and bar nibbles from locally sourced and repurposed ingredients like Banana Bacon and Charred Pineapple Bites, Makati Honey Calamansi Peel Bites and Labanos Skin Pakora with Makati Honey Dip harvested from the hotel's own bee farm. 

But better hurry. The Green Cocktail Workshop at the Fairmont Lounge of Fairmont Makati runs only until April 24, so book your table. And raise a proper toast for Earth Day...
