My Kind of Shack: The Lobster & Seafood Shack at Circles Event Cafe

Fresh lobsters, plump clams, succulent crabs, fish and oysters...it's the day's freshest catch. At Circles Event Cafe's Lobster & Seafood Shack...

Makati Shangri-La, Manila's Circles Event Cafe lays out the day's freshest catch with its Lobster & Seafood Shack buffet, a sumptuous seafood feast on an epic scale with that unique and elegant Shangri-La touch.  

Inside the spacious interiors of Circles Event Cafe, the station chef prepares the impressive fresh Seafood Station with buckets of the day's freshest catch, including lobsters, crabs, clams, mussels, prawns, shrimps, and oysters (L). At the Grill Station, one can find fresh fish, scallops, and squid, ready for grilling (R). 

The central Seafood Station boasts of an enticing selection of fresh catch, neatly stacked and arranged on a bed of ice, ready for the picking.

The extensive variety of seafood is an impressive sight, and an experience in itself. Read on and take a peek at Circles Event Cafe's selection of the fresh catch...

The more the merrier, right? Complete your seafood feast with fresh Shrimps (L) and large, plump Prawns (R) at Circles Event Cafe's Lobster & Seafood Shack. Then, pick up another plate, or bowl, and continue your ocean harvest of fresh seafood...

Cap your seafood feast with fresh Clams (L), or try something different, like the Taiwanese Clams (R), huge clams the size of your fist. These giant clams deliver a gentle and subtle briny sweetness, perfect when baked or simply sauteed in butter and garlic. 

Now that you've made your selection, settle down with a comforting bowl of Crab Bisque, while the station chefs prepare your seafood feast.

For the first course, a plate of Baked Oysters and Mussels topped with Cheese is served, my first round of the day's freshest catch at Circles Event Cafe's Lobster & Seafood Shack. The delicate notes of the fresh oysters and mussels are enhanced by the creamy cheese for rich flavors, the perfect starter before the mains...

You can enjoy the seafood selection fresh and as is, drizzled with lemon, or have it prepared Singaporean style with a sweet and spicy Chili Sauce. Or you can leave it to the recommendation of the station chefs to prepare your customized seafood dinner.

For me, the freshest seafood is best prepared simply with butter and garlic. Lots of butter and garlic, adding an indulgent yet subtle layer of creamy and nutty richness without overpowering the delicate notes of the fresh seafood. Lobster, Prawns, Taiwanese Clams, Clams, and Florida Stone Crab Claws gently simmered in butter and garlic...just can't get better than that. Another round? Absolutely.

At Circles Event Cafe's Grill Station, indulge in fresh Squid, grilled to perfection...
